  1. I believe all the DCL records declined except possibly for Late Night talking (sales increased fueled by real sales so streams may have declined) and maybe Remind Me

Looks like Dandelion did fall to ACR after 30 weeks in the top 75 without reaching the top 40.

Also Alan Jones told us that Yellow was at 49 without ACR......
  4. This suggests that many of KSI sales were from D2C sites (and so excluded from this chart) and/or that the streaming is heavily towards free. It was only in at 17 on the audio streaming chart (though 8 on the overall streaming and no.1 on video streaming) suggesting most of its sales may have come from real sales and video (as it was no.1 on the OCC charts for both). Do we know whether the Billboard chart includes video streams?
  5. OK, if there's less missing data this week, then you're right they probably will both continue to show a decline and so go to DCL-3 (and ACR) and DCL-2 respectively.
  6. Looks like As It Was is increasing this week (based on wednesday comparisons) so likely to be reset. Also Green Green Grass (while Afraid to Feel is declining)...
  7. As with the Global Chart they exclude D2C sales and only include 'full-service digital music retailers'.
  8. Good to know that Metallica didn't go the same way as Kate Bush and fall to DCL-1 on the week of the reset (though of course it was done a week earlier....). Its sales were very close to the previous weeks.
  9. Whoops you're right, onviously he was talking about Dandelion and not Running Up That Hill. Oh well.
  10. Kate Bush was the top 15 exception that didn't increase. She is still the biggest seller, but has been ACR the last 2 weeks - though probably won't be next week as she was only around 1,000 ahead this week. JoJo also decreased but is less than 6 weeks old (as are any decliners this week not already mentioned in the top 40).
  11. Well basically almost everything in the top 40 increased this week so everything is on either SCR or ACR. No changes in the top 40 except for possibly Metallica as their sales this week are very close to their real sales last week so they might actually have decreased and so be on DCL-1. Also Flowers and Happier Than Ever are probably on DCL-2. I believe all the songs that went to ACR last week (Go, Peru, 2Step, Spaceman, Je M'appelle, She's All I Wanna Be, Anyone for you (Tiger Lily)) actually increased this week, not that much of a surprise as the streaming market increased by 4.8%. Dandelions also increased (overall according to MW) so could have another 3 weeks in the top 75... edited to add songs that went to ACR last week who increased this week
  12. Since LF Systems was no.1 in real sales this week and it had overtaken Harry, this suggests that the streaming ratio may be smaller than the OCC uses....(or perhaps they only use the free ratio (1:100)?
  13. Thanks for the breakdown. So it is closer to 2,000 downloads than 1,000. I was thinking about it and realized we were halfway through the week on actual sales so that was actually more likely....
  14. Assuming 1,000 actual sales, then streaming sales are 10,400 x 2 = 20,800. Add back the 1,000, then actual total is approximately 22,000. If real sales are 2,000 (probably not yet) then streaming is 9,400 x 2 = 18,800 so actual sales are around 20,000. Personally i think it's more likely to be closer to 1,000 at the moment so 22,000 is the more likely total compared to 19,500 or so last week.
  15. Kate has increased by 2,500 or so in 'sales' compared to this time last week . This may of course be due to actual sales and not streams? If Master of Puppets never charted, then surely it should be on SCR as its not 3 years old chartwise.
  16. No Kate declined in streams so she is on DCL-2! The increase was due to real sales.
  17. Remember the charts are for the industry and not the general public, so if a record company is repromoting a song then yes they obviously would like it reset. If there's no campaign then it could be viewed as just a short term boost while a campaign implies a more long term boost. Having said that, I also feel that special 'events' such as the death of an artist should also lead to a reset as you frequently will see a large rise in 'sales' but it does tend to be transient. I gues this does then open pandoras box as to what constitutes a special 'event'.
  18. Perhaps they did and the OCC/CSC took this long to decide? We don't know how long these things take behind the scenes. You would hope it was quick, but perhaps it isn't. It is unfortunate that the week it is reset it also appears to be declining compared to the previous week, meaning that DCL-1 is imminent, though perhaps the news of the reset may lead to an increase next week? As pointed out, it does look like Harry will avoid ACR this week as he does appear to be increasing, so it would definitely be bad if nothing else comes along and he regains no.1 due to Kate going back on ACR.

    I second that!
  20. Agree completely. 2 would've been a new peak for the song and that is where it would have been on a level playing field. We have had prior examples of old songs peaking at a new position throughout chart history following renewed interest e.e. Unchained Melody, Stand by me etc which would have been disadvantaged if streaming and this rule had been present then. This is a relatively unique situation unlike the xmas songs which chart every year. If an old song is going to reach a new peak (on reset) then the song should be reset as it shows renewed interest in a track. This should be automatic and not happen only 2 weeks after there is evidence of a resurgence.... Of course I'd personally scrap ACR anyway as you shouldn't penalize songs just because the general public still like to listen to ithem. I know that would slow things down, but at least it would reflect what people were listening to more accurately.
  21. So despite a third week of decreasing in sales, Go hasn't gone to ACR. Last week's was the smallest drop so perhaps streaming either went up or declined by less than the market.

Well of course they already have so many other problems with their 'official' charts....

If it's not on the album it shouldn't count. They're not streaming the album they're streaming the song. OCC should fix this.
  24. There's a very good chance that Kate will be no.1 on this chart and in reality next week, but a smaller chance she'll be there officially.

Bearing in mind that utilizing the streaming playlists ensures that people are aware of your product so while it is true that Ed is not getting 'sales' purely from streaming, the fact he has the streaming, does to some extent, also increase the likelihood that people may end up buying the record. This is of course assuming that the streaming population and record buying population overlaps. We can clearly see that that is frequently not the case as records sell 'bucketloads' on release and then vanish in the majority of the cases unless they also have the streaming side to support their 'sales'. The fact Ed now has the deluxe edition (with 16+ tracks) does mean that he theoretically has 25% more possible streams than Adele's 12-track album does in any case - of course Ed also has at least 7 tracks that are potentially streaming thus bolstering the average compared with say 3 for Adele..... Whether it be actual sales and/or streams that Ed is catching up an din all likelihood will have the biggest album of the decade so far within 2 to 3 months, unless they start to promote '30' again (and even then he could probably would still do it) as Ed is selling 10,000+ a week and Adele is doing less than 2,000 and is only 71,800 ahead....
