Friday Chart Predictions
It increased 3 weeks ago (w/e 15/9/2022) so its not that (also only been on the chart for 6 weeks)

The Buzzjack Friday Chart Show Thread: 23rd September 2022
The most it could be on is DCL-1 and only if it declined this week....

Friday Chart Predictions
Barring any additional physical drops by Capaldi, I'd have thought so.....
-
Friday Chart Predictions
Good to see that Ozzy almost definitely has the no.2 album this week, though the Manics may end up at 4 depending on how much streaming is missing from Harry....

Friday Chart Predictions
If they are repromoting a different track then I think it doesn't have to be the recent release, but the record company needs to show an active campaign for it I believe.

Friday Chart Predictions
It is my understanding that the only resets the OCC automatically do is if a song is less than 3 years old and it increases by 25% against the market. Any other reset has to requested by the record label and it is supposed to be their current single or they should be able to show a current campaiagn around it. Presumably the record company of the earlier mentioned tracks did not request a reset while Ton O'Dell's company did.

Top 100 Singles + Albums; W/E 08/09/22
I think without ACR, 505 is actually above Mirrorball (but only just)
-
Top 100 Singles + Albums; W/E 08/09/22
But the new release has remixes of the songs not the originals. if they're streaming the original version it should count for The Immaculate Collection. Only streams of the remixed version should count for the new album. If this is true more evidence of how fake the charts are now.

ACR Status Update: 25th August 2022
Late Night Talking climbed to 2 (from 19) on the sales chart so it certainly looks like it did have a real sales-fueled increase unless everything else declined considerably more in real sales..
-
ACR Status Update: 25th August 2022
I believe all the DCL records declined except possibly for Late Night talking (sales increased fueled by real sales so streams may have declined) and maybe Remind Me

The Buzzjack Friday Chart Show Thread: 26th August 2022
Only if the record company requests it

Friday Chart Predictions
10,000 real sales would just about get you in the top 40 nowadays (or at least last week anyway). Of course Kate Bush has never got as high as that this year; I think 7,500 was the highest weekly real sales she achieved. It was the 44,000 odd chart equivalent streams that got her to no. 2 (officially 8) that first week. Anyone know what happened first? Increased streams/sales or adding to playlists?

Friday Chart Predictions
What you mean like Running Up that Hill gets played in some episodes of a streaming TV show and then recharts or Master of Puppets gets featured prominently in a TV episode and then recharts..... see it does still happen; though maybe not to such an extent as it used to (and of course really only if the song is reset to SCR if older than 3 years or if been on the charts before for 9 weeks or more.....) Of course there was certainly some marketing going in in the latter two examples but perhaps not so much with the first few....

Friday Chart Predictions
It's not sales inflation and it's not fake because that really is 16,000 sales. Doesn't matter if 16,000 people buy 1 copy or 1,000 people buy 16 it has still sold 16,000 copies. Nobody is forcing the fans to buy them. Having said that, there is almost certainly a limit to the number that an individual can purchase so that we don't get 1 person buying 16,000 (or 10 people 1,600 copies or 100 people 160 copies) before the OCC would step in. The debate is what would be considered reasonable... Are all the different versions limited editions? Of course the charts have been 'fake' since streaming was included - and perhaps long before that.... Comment edited as on reflection what I'd originally put was problematic.

Friday Chart Predictions
Its much more real than counting streams. People are buying the product - multiple times if they wish, that has always been the perogative of the buyer - though of course if you did it too much you'd get the song/album banned due to suspicious sales patterns - rather than a person paying for a service (or not) and then either passively (playlists) or actively playing a track/album.

Mini ACR Update
Looks like Dandelion did fall to ACR after 30 weeks in the top 75 without reaching the top 40.
-
Estimated chart without ACR
Also Alan Jones told us that Yellow was at 49 without ACR......

Billboard's weekly top 25 UK Songs Chart
This suggests that many of KSI sales were from D2C sites (and so excluded from this chart) and/or that the streaming is heavily towards free. It was only in at 17 on the audio streaming chart (though 8 on the overall streaming and no.1 on video streaming) suggesting most of its sales may have come from real sales and video (as it was no.1 on the OCC charts for both). Do we know whether the Billboard chart includes video streams?

Friday Chart Predictions
Technically its repeaking at 2 on first look, but not on the finalized weekly chart
-
Friday Chart Predictions
Also don't foget these charts are based on totsal streams and not chart streams, so it is possible that Sigala is higher in paid streams but lower in overall streams, which could put her higher overall.
-
Friday Chart Predictions
Yes, next week unless it increases this week.

ACR Status Update: 28th July 2022
OK, if there's less missing data this week, then you're right they probably will both continue to show a decline and so go to DCL-3 (and ACR) and DCL-2 respectively.
