6QapZI2cLQQ This was uploaded in 2008 and I cannot believe that Cassetteboy is gonna outlive 14 years of Tory government.
  2. 205 Conservatives 395 Labour 10 SNP 35 Liberal Democrat 3 Plaid 0 Reform 2 Green 8 Sinn Fein 7 DUP 2 SDLP 2 Alliance Something like that but I have not looked at current projections in detail where it would be easy to look at the number of realistic targets for the smaller parties. I think the SNP could look very shaky indeed in any Labour or Lib Dem-facing seat and face a much stickier Scottish Tory vote so it could be very volatile. Fun fact: the Tory vs. Labour swing in Scotland has gone the opposite way in Scotland compared to England in the last four Westminster elections: swing to Labour in 2010 (!), hugely against Labour in 2015, against Labour in 2017, against Labour in 2019. It looks like it will be in sync this time. Where are these DUP losses happening?
  3. I love this.
  4. Are you only allowed on this list if ur a woman

Is this surprise to throw off a Farage Joins Reform timeline? Idk what he's been planning but I believe that has been rumoured for a while.
  6. I went experimental-ish for the third time in four contests.

I can't choose between, like, every song of this album that I'm listening to.
  8. There's a clear geographical pattern to the Israeli televote with almost every Western European country giving Israël 12 Not a single Eastern European country gave them a 12. I don't have hard data to back this up but I imagine it's due to Eastern fash still having lingering anti-semitism which is no longer mainstream amongst conservatives here.
  9. The winner being Enby won't go down well at all with anybody attracted to that televote campaign. Small wins. Unfortunately this year will always be remembered first and foremost for its controversy rather than the quality that has been there.
  10. This is most likely going to be an incredible top 3.
  11. Switzerland is a 25 minute drive from mine yous can all stay here. (Would be very happy if they won)
  12. The Switzerland x Greece reaction was so cute.
  13. Most predictable Israeli 12 points.
  14. I didn't actually WANT to boycott but I find this extremely depressing and embarrassing, thinking of watching the performances but then when it's fully Dark I'll grab my headtorch and go look for the aurora which I missed last night!
  15. We'll see what happens both diplomatically and in terms of public mood but on the current trajectory I don't see how the contest can be hosted by Israel next year, if it stays on the current trajectory that is. All evidence points to this year's Israel vote as being minoritarian but I'm still cynical because it's difficult to imagine the situation being anymore catastrophic than it is now, and I fear that in a year's time fatigue will have set in and large swathes of the public just wouldn't care. If the geopolitical situation with Ukraine had been different (and therefore, like Israel, Russian had never been banned in 2022) and Russia won this year, would the general population care enough about war crimes to be outraged at a Russia 2025 host now that the war is long gone from headlines?
  16. Voted for Estonia because they might need it as there is a lot of ~quirky~ to choose from. The French commentator obviously can't go majorly off script but it's quite funny how in the recaps it's like "vote for Latvia's POWERFUL BALLAD 'Hollow' by Dons by texting 9 or 3632 by phone" and then both times Israel's been recapped it's just like "Israel. 14".
  17. Italy is a bop ofc I need to fold my laundry brb
  18. Estonia are the only one of my favs who are considered underdogs so I really hope that this stands out!!
  19. I would like Georgia to qualify for once but I'd be more enthusiastic with a better time. I had no idea that J'aime la vie was a Eurovision song until the Belgium postcard.
  20. We're a bit low on ethnic warbling this year so I am going to say yes to that (altho I've always understood the band as being French even if their sound very much isn't).
  21. It took me a few listens to come to terms with this but I like Sweden's song. AQs: UK: 6/10 Germany: 5/10 Sweden: 7.5/10
  22. So I'm guessing from the postcard that the artist is a busker because that would be par for the course with Germany. Also what on earth are those elephant sounds in the chorus
  23. Iceland have gone so downhill in Eurovision lately </3
  24. Baby Lasagna honouring the submission of my French naturalisation application today
