  2. Blanck Mass  You guys in semi 2 had better do what is required for me to be able to vote Trifoski in the final, otherwise I'll be feeling very Eeyore x
  3. Wow I can't believe you stole future St Burbia trashy, radio-friendly earworm bop .
  4. Oof I had no idea the track was so well known until the final results thread. Fortunately this next one is for sure pretty obscure so I've made up for it x
  5. Note that I only hear a few garage tracks per year so this is not a large sample.

Yeah this is the best case scenario now. All I'm gonna say is that when one alliance manages to win almost all competitions then it should be a steamroll. If you can guarantee that your group will always control the power then there's no reason to make a big move until there's only your group left. I accept this doesn't make good TV but I'm pissed for different reasons than others seem to be.
  7. CHANGED TO THE BEST UK GARAGE TRACK SINCE BLAWAN'S GETTING ME DOWN ITS VIBE MAKES ME WANT TO TYPE IN ALL CAPS IT NONETHELESS HAS STRONG '19 POINTS IN SF2' ENERGY
  8. Ah, teething problems.

It could be a consequence of where guidelines aren't being followed and where contaminations are occurring (= once in each other's houses and no longer in public). Similarly, many countries are closing bars and restaurants mid-evening as when people get drunk later at night, social distancing is adhered to less and less. Then there's Ireland's strategy of more restrictions on bars that serve only drink - classed as 'wet' - compared to food-serving restaurant-pubs, classed as 'dry'. Yes, there's a risk of spreading COVID wherever you go, but an equally crowded room is more risky if it's in private than if it were in public. I find the cynicism about governments protecting the economy a little tiring because 1) the economy does need protecting and 2) even if pubs etc. have few restrictions, footfall is much lower and they need financial help anyway.
  10. I sent an 80s-inspired remix of a relatively well known pop artist but I could send a obscure UK garage instrumental with a very brisk BPM because I miss clubs instead idk
  11. Remember that week when Dominic Cummings wanted to personally send a 'hard rain' on the upper echelons of the civil service but it just turned out he wanted to give big jobs to his friends.
  12. To be fair, this is very beneficial when public procurement in England is broken and the cronyism and corruption is rife even by Tory government standards.
  13. I've had three sets of four consecutive DNQs In 2009: XIII - dnq OneRepublic // Sleep XIV - dnq Passion Pit // Better Things XV - dnq Tommy Sparks // She's Got Me Dancing XVI - dnq Phoenix // 1901 In 2015-16: LXXVIII - dnq Animal Collective // Alvin Row LXXIX - dnq Telephones // Blaff LXXX - dnq Stephen Lopkin // Farewell G41 LXXXI - dnq Art Of Tones // The World As I Live It An amazing set of entries too. ' ' in particular is 8 minutes of Balearic lushness and one of the most underrated tracks of the decade. In 2017: XCI - dnq Japandroids // Near To The Wild Heart Of Life XCII - dnq Martyn Bennett // Blackbird XCIII - dnq Musta Barbaari // Salil Eka Salil Vika XCIV - dnq Kjartan Lauritzen // Fredag Which were followed by a #36 smash and two more consecutive DNQs. Honourable mention to 2018 where 7/9 entries dnq'd.
  14. Yeah there's not really going to be an election night. Even beyond potential postal service sabotage, I don't trust any state with a Republican governor, secretary of state, or a Conservative-dominated supreme court, but even Democrat states have been struggling this year (New York taking a month to count primary ballots), though perhaps through incompetence rather than malice. In November, I'll be looking at some states with a history of fair and efficient elections and minimal voter suppression: Oregon, Washington, Vermont, Minnesota, Maine, Colorado amongst others. This doesn't mean that results in these states will all be counted fast, but the decentralised nature of US election governance means that you can still have fair elections in some states, even when others ( ) are engaging in shenanigans. I hope that everyone who wants to vote will be able to vote in those states, which I doubt will be the case nationwide. Those states have varying postal voting laws and only Minnesota is really representative of some of the potential tipping point states (Pennsylvania, Wisconsin - Arizona and Florida are quite unique, and sadly all of these most crucial states are likely to have unfair elections). I'll be looking at the swing in Minnesota, and if it's much larger in the swing in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and the rest of the midwest, then we'll have a good idea that something has gone wrong.
  15. The best outcome for US is to not have to deal with the embarrassment on the world stage and the economic consequences that being a rogue state brings. Arguing against the UK government does not mean that you're being unpatriotic or arguing for 'them'/the EU's interests (in an ideal world, the EU and Britain share the same interests as they are one and the same).
  16. I also find that enormous gap between winning entries to be very satisfying.
  17. Ah I had Cor Lupus just outside my semi votes in 11th place, but actually voted them up in the final to give them precisely the number of points (4) for them to beat me in a tie. To add insult to injury, it bumped Numyania's excellent entry just outside my final points (1 point in the semi final) when I would've liked to have point swapped from their very generous 18 to me. So I really cucked myself. BUT the winner is good, reaching my commiserations, and I'm thrilled for the Summericia medal position as well as my 9th! Thanks for hosting fab Lew!!
  18. Babe I just got my best position in over 6 years and I still did worse than you.
  19. 9th is..... still very good but I had really taken to dipping in and out of the top 5.
  20. I think I'm still on 234 tho, everything's fine there x
  21. Yeah I would like to take them but I'm a little unsure about where my last 5 points came from.
  22. I know other more important things are happening right now but I found out how to tag posts with emojis :left: It was an incredibly obvious place but the site layout is so familiar to me that I never lay my eyes on the parts of the screen that I don't use.
  23. I did NOT notice how Singerpurear and Jadakissnia are flailing around in the bottom 3, with my points only helping a little there </3
  24. My votes were sent at 11pm BST or so, so will probably soon rather than at the very end. I'm slightly worried that I have cucked myself out of an even better position with them. (also I guess Bhangra is inevitable now)
  25. Oh that's so cool! I'll keep my eyes peeled for a link! (I'm also realising that my entry is kinda cheap as many seem to know it. I didn't realise how well known it was eek)
