WHOA how did I get so high all of a sudden, after already doing very decently for all the results!!! The Bhangra track is good but the Summericia track is easily in my top 5 entries of the year so I'm definitely gunning for the later.

The alternative end of the spectrum is so stacked this month (Utopia, Summercia, Fljótavik to name but a few) that I want to add one of those entries in there. But when there are lots of pop-leaning voters who would rarely consider such entries, having a limited voter pool for a fairly large number of songs might make them cancel each other out.

I won't be there but I'm slightly nervous as relistening to my votes this afternoon is telling me that I've perhaps put some in the wrong order!

If Britain wants to take a leaf out of post-war France's book and pump billions to invest directly in certain businesses (a continental, anti-conservative and free market concept!) to the point that European counterparts are no longer competitive in Britain, then that's fine. Dyson/these businesses will just not be able to trade with the rest of the world. That's what it's about.

I don't think the Tories will do a 2016-17-style Ruth Davidson campaign screeching 'NO 2 INDY REF 2' because they realise that there IS a majority appetite for one this time, and that regardless of what the campaign is like, they're not gonna beat the SNP and are fighting for a good second place (although it could be very good for squeezing any remaining Lib Dem and Unionist Labour vote). If they did do that, then it'll look worse when indy ref 2 gets denied in 2021 because they will have explicitly lost on that question in the election. If they just choose not to acknowledge the SNP's independence commitments and do a 'but our public services' campaign, then it won't look so hypocritical when Boris Johnson denies the ref anyway despite losing/will help them skirt around the fact that Holyrood elections and the Scottish government have no say on constitutional issues, which of course is a reality that is a case against the union. When polling was more ambiguous, there was a time when unionists actively promoted the union to shore up those still in favour of it, but now they just....pretend the thorny issue of majority independence sentiment just isn't there.

Oops I'm only just looking at this thread now. My entry got two mehs and tbf I can see how my entry could be annoying to some but an earworm to others.

I have already entered the Inspector Norse of the early 10s, which is Inspector Norse itself, so I am now entering the Inspector Norse of the late 10s.

Not quite as wildly off as it looked earlier but: oops. Honestly it just sounded like the Naked & Famous and would appeal across the spectrum. Max Cooper did a little better than the mid teens placement I was expecting and I'm delighted for Little Jinder!
