Weekly UK Box Office
Where are you located? Might be worth dropping your local cinema an e-mail! Where I am we have one subtitled showing of films a day. We alternate too. So it’s not always spider-man for a certain amount of time for example. Edit: I know you shouldn’t have to but it’s surprising nobody has done Spider-Man near you!

Tinashe - Melatonin
Literally OBSESSED. Can't get enough of it. The video is such a gag too! I LOVE that she is constantly challenging "Pop" as a theme/genre.
-
PFSC XIX: Art Pop - The Weird and Wonderful
Whoever is hosting gets free reign of the theme! Makes no sense asking them to host a theme they probably wouldn't care about as much as a theme that they could choose.

Saturday Night Live UK
Season 2 starts on September 12th! Yaaaay!

FINALLY!!! How wonderful that it got certified right around the 15 Year Anniversary of them being put together in a group???

Tinashe - Melatonin
That is Tinashe, no? Just vocal processed and produced for the song?

Troye Sivan - She's the Best
This is where I am with it atm too. It’s not a complete miss for me but it’s definitely going to take me more time to get into this than it usually does for him, for me. I do hope we have some gorgeous, straight forward melodies on his album though. I think he excels incredibly at those and Rob is right in regards to how he is usually able to utilise his voice wonderfully and perfectly for what his voice can do.

Tinashe - Melatonin
Banger. The video is so good too. Another hit for me (I know she’s lost a few people on here but I’ve loved all three so far - oops)

Troye Sivan - She's the Best
Hyped for this. He has yet to miss for me. I'm hopeful that he will deliver yet again.

Little Mix • 15 Years
So we’re so close to it being 15 Years (!!) since Little Mix were first formed. Do you guys still miss them? Do you listen to them regularly? Any specific memories you will always treasure? Favourite albums/singles/songs? Underrated beauts? Ultimately this thread is to be used as a celebration of the girl group that has us all united on Buzzjack. I want to do a rate. What shall we do? All 6 albums or just a singles rate?

LM5: The Peak?
Their 6 albums actually come in 2 sets of 3’s for me. DNA - Salute - Get Weird Glory Days - LM5 - Confetti I feel like both lots of trilogies follow the same kind of pattern? DNA & Glory Days was them sending a message that they’re a girl band who can do pop like no other. They had something to prove at these moments. Salute & LM5, imo, are the two albums all 4 girls WANTED to make and they came right in between their big pure pop moments. Also I think these are the 2 that are their “artistic peaks”. They had distinct sounds that felt authentic to who they were/wanted to be as artists. Get Weird & Confetti were them reminding people that they excel at pop and getting “casuals” back on board with more radio friendly, made for chart success efforts.

Britney done with music industry for good?
It absolutely makes sense and I am here for her "retiring" now tbh. It's so sad though to see it all get to the point that they've basically driven the drive & passion she once had out of her so much that she never wants to do it again. That entire team needs a one way ticket... But how do you all feel about this? She did announce that she has 2 upcoming projects before the end of the year, but I wonder what they will be.

Britney • 20th Anniversary
This is interesting seeing as Britney herself has confirmed that she has 2 projects coming up later this year...

Streaming Services Chart Discussion; W/C 07/08/26
I wonder how well the Malcolm Todd cover of ‘Dancing On My Own’ will do if it becomes available in the next few days or so? It’s terrible (but not quite Calum levels of bad). But the GAP ad is going viral (at least he and Inde look good tho!) Robyn really needs to start being stricter on her licensing of that song.

Weekly UK Box Office
It’s organised by the film distributors. Hence why we don’t get any Disney for example. It’s all there to create hype and boost a box office number (and I’m not against it - so many people view these things and come out of it enjoying something they would never have seen before etc..)
-
Physical Media
Something a bit different from the typical movie/theatre threads. Lets open to some discussion! Are you a physical media collector/user? Do you even bother anymore and stick to strictly streaming/digital download? Just a Steelbook/Special Edition collector? Want to share your collections/recent purchase?

The Odyssey • 17th July 2026
I feel you've hit the nail on the head re the casting. Especially when those actors didn't really get the material they needed to really sink their teeth into to make these actual characters. It was all quite overwhelming tbh. A TV series would've been cool. I would love to have explored more of everything. Especially the Sirens! That was so wasted!

How many song contests have you won on Buzzjack?

Weekly UK Box Office
You really need to stop with this lmao. It’s been regarded as one of the worst films of all time. Tie that in with the AI controversy as well as the fact that he is an absolutely abhorrent human being… it’s a recipe for disaster. — Amazing results for Spider-Man. It could’ve lost 80%+ and it’d still have been a huge success lmao. But that drop minus the previews is insane for a huge budget Superhero movie.
