Streaming Services Chart Discussion; W/C 20/06/25
I've not seen the movie yet (going on Wednesday) so I don't know. I assume not many of them will be and it's a Hunger Games/Fifty Shades of Grey kind of situation.

This just seems irrelevant tbh? If you factor in the following: The UK top 40 would be exactly the same, I think (bar maybe Coldplay - Sparks?)? (Teddy Swims - Lose Control was released Jun 23rd 2023 - so the week we're in now would be it's final week & it'd be gone from Friday, right?) So it's kind of irrelevant tbh (although idk the state of the Australian charts so maybe it works for them)

Taftys Top 107 Songs • COUNTDOWN
Maybe I'll update this and throw in their solo songs.... Jk. IMAGINE THAT TASK! JADE would probably have the entire top 20 by the time her album comes out at this rate

The Pop Factor: Season 1 • Live Show One
01 CHVRCHES feat. Hayley Williams - Bury It > FAVOURITE < 02 The Saturdays - Notorious 03 Avril Lavigne - Losing Grip 04 Mary J. Blige - Just Fine 05 A-ha - I’ve Been Losing You 06 Ellie Goulding - Figure 8 07 Louise - 2 Faced 08 Christina Aguilera - Infatuation 09 Pet Shop Boys - Suburbia 10 Little Mix feat. Charlie Puth - Oops Thankful CHVRCHES got their Golden Wagner moment. Not my favourite The Saturdays or Avril songs, but I still love them a lot! Mary's a banger. Nice A-ha discovery there. One of Ellie's better songs. Not fussed on the other 4 (that's not my favourite Xtinct album track). Oops (baby I love you x). Yes. Little Mix is last for me (shock???) but not really into that song and I don't think even Little Mix forum would use that song in this kind of contest anymore...

Also, I'm embarrassed to say that it's taken me 5 days to realise she is singing "torturing myself"............. LMAO! Oops (baby I love you xxx)

JADE - Plastic Box • 4th Single
I've had this on repeat since release. It's incredible. I'll always rally for it to do what it can in the charts, but my GOD what a damn serve this is and I disagree about it "not being single material". Although this kind of sound never really takes off immediately! Two of the songs it gets compared to 'Dancing On My Own' and 'we can't be friends' weren't initially as big as you would expect them to have been. wcbf wouldn't have done what it did without Ariana's name (and honestly it still should have done MORE - should have been top 10 EOY kind of thing - it was a huge hit ofc but largely coz it was Ariana) and Robyn's DOMO performance kind of felt underwhelming at the time but grew to become a bit of a cult classic. That's not even getting into the undeserved non-top 40 nature of 'Run Away With Me' - which again, like DOMO, has now gone on to become a bit of a cult classic. I can't stop listening. There's just SOMETHING about this sound that I love and they have the replayability factor. This, DOMO, wcbf, RAWM, Agnes - One Last Time (I really believe this is up there with these songs). Just sensational. SHE'S SO SKSKSKKSKSKSKSKSKS

Bop Idol 4 - Confirmations - Deadline Sunday 29 June, 23:59
Officially reconfirmed! Different to my original artist. I can't do it as it feels WAY too "cheap" here on Buzzjack, no matter what song I choose 😂 - I'll confirm who I tried to send (and would have probably been successful with had I chosen with a different song!) once the round opens. But I went for a fave album track by an artist I loved when they were on one of the shows. The YouTube only song is still in play for me, but idk if I should...

Bop Idol 4 - Confirmations - Deadline Sunday 29 June, 23:59
I suspect someone will have already taken my artist (and potentially the song too), but I thought I'd be very cheeky and attempt it at least... I feel SO bad for doingit, but it fits every criteria lmao. I should probably change it lmao.

How is 'Rein Me In' doing so well? It's definitely one of my least favourite songs from the album! It's so boring </3 'TV Dinner' would be an interesting choice of single!

The Pop Factor: Season 1 • Live Show One
Not In Love (feat. Kelis) would’ve been my choice for first live shows if Enrique was to somehow have made it through.
-
Eli - Girl of Your Dreams
This is addictive. It’s so good.

Ooft. I’m way too late for who I had planned, I presume. So I’m gonna take a deep dive, before I confirm!

JADE - Plastic Box • 4th Single
LMAO

JADE • Festivals 2025
Considering we thought it wouldn't air... this is a WIN! I'll take BBC 2 over nothing! Although, do channels really mean much anymore do we think or will people (like myself) just view it on iPlayer?

28 Years Later
I'm very much in the minority unfortunately. The first half is very much what I wanted/expected from it, but then it just goes into silly territory about half way through and becomes a bit of a mess tonally. Jodie Comer absolutely shines in it though (hardly surprising). She's great! But unfortunately, it didn't do anything for me on the whole. I'm gutted I didn't connect as much with it as I would have liked to.
