Are people actually interested in this tbh? Very little response to these rounds that it kind of feels pointless continuing it? I'm seeing nothing but Zara performances from Radio 1's big weekend on my Tik Tok (a couple of sprinkles of Flo here and there but definitely not as much as ZL) especially shots where the crowd are singing SO loud to 'Midnight Sun'. I am watching those videos with tears in my eyes just PROUD of how far she's come.

Is that an actual song that got scrapped? Coz I assumed it was one of those AI generated tracks so never listened to it before. I can see why it was left to the side though tbh. Maybe a more polished/less disjointed version could be worthy though. I still think the Maluma collab is their biggest missed opportunity.

The only era to do "guaranteed number 1 debut" big for Ariana was her 'thank u, next' era. 'positions' (song) did well on name alone & the fact it followed such a huge era for her. 'Eternal Sunshine' era, everyone assumed she'd debut at number 1 with 'yes, and?' AND 'we can't be friends' but both stalled. I don't think she is as "guaranteed" the number 1 smash as people would expect her to be. Especially if the weather keeps up and continues to help RMI... EDIT: Oh wait, I think Ariana has like 6 variants for single release, right? Are they releasing immediately or a couple of weeks later?

'My Happy Ending' is very good. Not my favourite from that era ('Nobody's Home' ) but it was a smart follow up to 'Don't Tell Me' when that felt like it had under performed somewhat. The 'Under My Skin' album is fantastic! One of my favourites.

Surely that side of it will be on the artists to come up with a better idea than a "Pre-order the new album and get pre-sale access"? I don't see how this relates to Spotify? It's not Spotify's fault you don't stream?

I think 'Toxic' was just released in a time where sales were starting to fall massively and impacted by people downloading through the likes of Limewire and Kazaa etc.. Before the streaming era (maybe even download era?) iirc 'Toxic' was only on around 400k-500k sales total?

10 years? What an album! It’s also my favourite of hers. I feel like this is by far her best in terms of showing off her vocals amongst varying genres too. Just a near perfect album imo. Also it’s ridiculous just how underrated the song ‘Dangerous Woman’ is… it’s absolutely a top tier Ariana song but it feels like it gets forgotten about/not talked about as much as it should be.

Oh... I thought this was an easy W for people here... clearly not lmao! I think it's a great idea and I don't see how it can be seen as a negative... at all? The only criticism I can think of is that just because someone streams an album by an artist 20 times doesn't make them anymore or less of a fan who has "only" streamed it 5 times etc.. but as has been pointed out here, I don't know another way to make it fairer to "genuine" fans. Maybe they should actually do what I just said above and prioritise those who listen to the full album more than a couple of times? Because I assume those of us who are fans of an artist will listen to their albums more than a few times in full once they're released compared to those who listen once and then only access the hits via Hot Hits or something? Idk. But I'm excited to see how this will work and I really hope it's not just like the 100 top fans of an artist for example. I can't imagine I'm in the top 1000 Britney Spears listeners for example, but I clearly listen to her enough to consider myself to be a big enough fan for her tour etc..? Maybe they can utilise our "history" where they can and see who our most played artists are and try and find some consistencies through that or something, idk?

‘Don’t Let Me Get Me’ has always been a P!nk fave for me! Sooo good. I always found it under appreciated by the general public. ‘These Words’ is a bop. A lot of fun and very catchy!
