I really don't know about a specific time tbh. I've always been interested in music from a young age, but I probably didn't know "charts" were a thing until I was like, 8 or something when Spice Girls started charting? Then I found out about TOTP etc... and it was pretty much from then on where I had an avid interest. I'd probably say 1999 was the earliest memory I have of starting to follow the charts on a weekly basis. Around the time Britney broke through. Then my dad would make me and my siblings video tapes of various live performances of artists/bands he knew we liked/would have an interest in from that era too. A few performances from Party In The Park 1999 (I remember The Corrs, STEPS and Geri from this), TOTP (specifically 'Sometimes'!) and various videos from MTV etc...

Also, I have merged because 'More To Lose' is an instant grat and not a single!

I agree that this is "a nice album track". I've not really gone back to it. Bar a couple of them, I can't say I'm *too* big on a Miley ballad and I don't know why as I am a big ballad guy! ('Angels Like You' and 'When I Look At You' being exceptions) They're always "nice" but that's about it to me. I think they end up being a bit too wordy or too cringe. 'End Of The World' is still SOOOOO good though and I am baffled how it's not taken off in such a huge way...

'I'm Every Woman' (although not an easy choice!) I love what Tinashe did with it and I've probably heard it more times than most other people on here so it's no surprise I'm the only one who has (so far) voted for it. I do love 'Being Nobody' though. EDIT: Also, not an attack or anything, just a personal preference, I'm not sure I'm a fan of discussing songs that aren't 10+ years old, in this part of the forum aha. But that's just me :P

This is an almighty banger. She can sing it live very well too... but (my first time seeing this performed "live") there seems to be a disconnect in her as a performer. Like, everything is there except the staging/her charisma and stage presence is fairly... neutral, to me. I really hope it qualifies because the song is a top 5 of the year (and she sings it amazingly well), but I can definitely see why some other songs may be favoured more to qualify over this...

So this.... is GROWING MASSIVELY ON ME! LMAO. It's really lovely and soulful. I do wish she'd branch out more from her current band (as talented as they are) and work with some other producers, but I assume the likeliness of that happening now is slim to none considering she's on her own label.

It's in the UK Spotify charts today at #170! I love that this gets some recognition now... but it needs MORE!!!!

'Judas' to get it's 'Cruel Summer' moment PLEASE!!!!!!!!! (I need it to occupy the top 5 for weeks on end and it finally get the recognition it deserves!) I'll accept a 'Bloody Mary'-level revival too... but the bigger the better!
