Does anyone know if the BRITs live performance YT official upload counts towards the streaming or is that just something that used to happen/happens in the US?

It's a hard one to predict because if people are all hyped about the performance, they're likely to watch the YouTube video of the performance etc.. so I'm kinda hoping like what happened on Apple that there's a little bit of a delay for it to appear on Spotify (but I'm not holding my breath ofc).

Lady Gaga is releasing her album soon (I *think* on Friday??) So a potential boost for 'Abracdabra' and a potential reset for 'Die With A Smile'. But Chappell Roan is teasing 'The Giver' quite a bit and it's just a case of "when" is that going to drop.

I'd argue that you DO need that info for pre-ordering now a days. People like to know what they're getting and if it isn't what they expected, they'll be all over Tik Tok shitting on it lol. (Take Tate's latest vinyl release as an example - she/her label have been jumped on because the mock ups on the website weren't exactly what was sold etc..)

If you’re a fan you’d enjoy it. But I don’t think it matters about the performance and whether it correlates to it’s increase in streams etc.. the exposure performing at the BRITs alone, the fact it’s a current/new song too, will be enough for her to gain enough to get a boost/reset, I’d imagine? If it was based on a “Wow” performance then JADE would be re-entering top 10 and not letting go (which is not happening - I just hope she can go top 200 again)

Presumably the bug BRITs effect won’t be noticeable u til tomorrow’s update, right? By the time the BRITs had finished last night, it was about 11pm. Fully expecting ‘Messy’ to get back to number 1. I hope Angel Of My Dreams can re enter the top 200.

Spotify impact won't be realistically shown until tomorrow. I've not checked on any of the platforms yet tbh! I believe a few hours ago it re-entered at 18 on iTunes?

The Last Dinner Party - Nothing Matters Lola Young - Messy This already seems to be on her official YT channel Sam Fender - People Watching Ezra Collective & Jorja Smith - ??? I turned it off after Sam's performance as everything was pretty predictable. I feel like I'm missing something else... Quite a few songs got played in the background/walk on songs for presenters etc... 'Abracadabra' sticking out as that seemed particularly loud lmao! (Made me jump :') ) EDIT: Oooohh they also did a Liam Payne Tribute and featured him singing 'Little Things' pretty heavily in it.
