That's a fair point! Tbh, I think I'd even prefer an unsigned obi strip over a signed print, as it at least feels like part of the package rather than an add on! I'm not particularly fussed on anything signed (well, anything wasn't signed whilst I was there in person anyway...). Having the sleeve signed looks cool I guess (so I'll usually choose the signed option where that's available), but it doesn't hold any personal value to me, and I don't buy records with the intention of selling them!

I didn't realise they did English versions of albums with obi strips... Thought they were pretty much exclusively a thing for the Japanese market! An interesting, and in my view unnecessary, way of driving extra sales 🤣 (They basically serve the same purpose as a hype sticker, only they're more impactful to the record's resale value) Nothing has really grabbed me from this album so far. 'Dead and Gone' was the best, but I never really played it much and never go back to it now! 'Friends' isn't on the album, but that was probably the next best one. I won't be buying it but will see if the focus track incentivises me to listen to the rest of the album!

My country name comes from my username, which literally just comes from me misspelling 'geronimo' when I was seeing up my first email address. Lol The first iteration of my country name was Juranaland (a highly inspired choice, I'm sure you'll all agree). I then renamed my country Juranabaijan as, despite being a hideous nation (not the people public living there, of course), Azerbaijan consistently did well in Eurovision around that time, which I hoped would rub off on my results (and Azerbaijan is a pretty cool name) 😂 I briefly renamed the country Brokeback Mountain*, as I was obsessed with the film for a while, before reverting back to Juranabaijan! * I see this is listed as an affiliated country on the wiki site thingy. I'll make sure to update that!

I feel their last couple of albums have cemented them as a legacy/nostalgia artist. They'll still sell enough albums for #1 most weeks to hardcore fans, but I expect they'll be hard-pressed to avoid blink-and-you'll-miss it eras now. They've done well to go as far as they did with casual fans caring about their new music though! I liked 'Asking For A Friend', hopefully there's more decent songs on this!

This feels like it's come around quickly! Better think about what to send this time around! I did think of a possibility in the car earlier. It's traditionally something that would have bombed spectacularly, but I wonder how it might be received now (genuinely no idea what people might like, and the aim is always to introduce music to people that they love and might not have heard otherwise!)... I also have various songs I was considering last time around that nearly made the cut. So who knows what I'll send up sending? 🤣

Hey! This edition had some great songs. Most of my listening towards the start of the week was BJSC songs (hence the massive clearout!). I'm gutted I wasn't quick enough to enter Valencia myself, I was a couple of days late confirming! Everyone has different tastes! Personally, Army of Lovers was my runaway favourite! I really hope the Cherry Bomb song gains traction with the public, it sounds like a massive hit to me! Thanks for commenting 😊
