Comments I've been hearing about the rehearsal clip last night... OK Song. Bad staging. Bad performance. This fills me with no hope. 😔 I like the staging, but the vocals are amongst the worst (not as *bad* as some, but just not standing out). Fully agree that she needs some backing vocalists (or pre-recorded ad-libs) to lift it. The song is a banger, but it doesn't seem to be punching on stage (where it absolutely should!) Hard to predict, but I'm not optimistic at it making it out of the Bottom 5 anymore. 😔

Interesting. Eurovision is so different to when they were last in... Small/micro-countries have a tendency to struggle (even Malta seem to underperform when they send great songs [poor Destiny 😭]). Interested to see how they do!

I don't think ACR is a solution. It stops the chart representing everything as soon as you hit one song that isn't in its correct position. Either every song should have every sale and stream counted equally, or every song should stop having streams counted once someone hits a cap. I'm VERY for the latter (I don't have the data to back it up, but 5 or 10 streams counted (and then no more) would surely give more songs a chance - and give sales which do not generate further reportable listens a fairer chance - speeding up the chart...)

Yeah. That's because their label made them change the lyrics as it wouldn't be appropriate for the young audience they were marketed at... I'm pretty sure when I saw them live a few years back they sung the correct lyrics: "You're just a whore, who sleeps around the town, and I've got proof because the word's going around" (makes much more sense - though word going around still isn't proof 😂)

For what it's worth... 10/10 Children Of The Universe (LOVE this song... shame she didn't come alive on stage) 09/10 SPACE MAN (Eurovision edit is better than the standard version, and then probably creeps to a 10 with the performance!) Definitely prefer the video version (with the spoken word middle 8), it helps the last chorus pop. I hope she performs that version in Liverpool!

Whilst "That's Rich" is a great song, the production felt very cheap. I do think this song is very well produced/catchy, the only thing I'm not sure on is if it will pop on stage

I don't think she's a charisma vacuum, but (I'm blaming Rina for the comparison, because she lead us all on...) Rina felt like a STAR. Mae feels more 'high school talent show' - endearing, fun, can bring the party, but missing that edge (similar to Mabel, now I think about it). Not *quite* an expensive car (in the vid), she's smashing up a Ford Escort. 🙈 (though I've just googled, and it's not exactly cheap these days...)

Is it safe to admit that I'd (almost) completely slept on Rina until these rumours? (I loved 'LUCID', but somehow never bothered to dig deeper...
