Just to clarify, I don't think there's anything wrong with Manrika playing the game... It just feels to me that she does it in such a nasty way (I thought the same about Freddie, prior to this season) - so much so that it outweighs any heartfelt moments. When it comes to the witch hunt thing, she's mentioned numerous times about targeting Gemma specifically - and trying to get people to side with her point of view, even though 'she' didn't ever really do anything to her. Fair enough, he's a bit dull/calculated, but he never called people a bitch/made gestures as if he was being repulsed etc. She may be playing the game well, but I dislike her (or her edit, specifically) behind the scenes.

I don't understand the love that Manrika is getting. The whole point of this is to either successfully catfish, or to be yourself if you want to. An 'NHS Nurse' trying to raise funds for the NHS is an option that's included in that. Being disgusting behind someone's back (despite insisting that you're a nice person), acting nice to their face, and trying to turn people against someone like some sort of witch hunt, is horrible. Whether you're playing the game or not, personally attacking someone who may (or may not) be real, isn't cool.

Exactly this! And if this results in more artists/songs that are representative of popular hits in the UK/Europe being entered, that can only be a good thing. (And Will, in turn, lead to better results...) I know they're hits due to TikTok... But Think About Things and Arcade becoming belated hits, shows that Eurovision isn't quite the career killer that it's painted out to be in the UK...

There's been no real effort to carve out a fan base. Interaction feels limited (even pre-covid). Shame, as the quality is there... I've listened to every new track at release, since 'Torn', and gave the album a couple of spins on release week (something I rarely have time to do). She's in the Zara/Pixie school of casual fanbase, I'm not sure if she'll can become a Gaga/Taylor/Ari.

Whilst the right track won... Is it too much to ask, for one of these groups in these sorta challenges to decide they're gonna write some verses that actually ~relate~ to the song? 🙈 The verses are literally ALWAYS 'this is verse about me, in case you haven't been watching the show...', regardless of the chorus! (and yes, I'm fully aware that "bing bang bong, sing sang song" doesn't really have any substance... But they coulda thought "let's write some funny verses about cheering someone up" or something... 🤣)

Give Me Everything: Heart must really HATE Pitbull, used to find that edit hilarious; I'm sure it used to get announced as "Give Me Everything, by Ne-Yo" too 🤣

I don't think it's be forgotten per se, but I was born in 1990 (the tail end of this). We learnt about general sexual health in school, and were taught about HIV, how it was the worst and we definitely would not want it, they mentioned briefly the AIDS epidemic, but it was NEVER highlighted just how much of a terrifying time it was for gays and how we were treated. Nothing I have seen since has made me understand the true impact it had, quite as much as this. I think it's very important that it is always remembered, as the attitude people had towards gays was simply unacceptable (of course, the effects of HIV too... But thankfully, significant advances in treatment have almost nullified it's effect for the majority of HIV+ people).

Obviously, with Monza back, they can't have the Italian GP anymore. Let's give it the name of the closest country (though, by that logic, Monza should be named the Swiss GP [being closer to Switzerland than Imola is to San Marino]) 2020: Emilia-Romagna GP - Actually a more appropriate name than the San Marino GP, at least it lies within the same region of Italy... Sounds clunky and unfamiliar though. 2021: Made in Italy and Emilia-Romagna GP - Clunky and self-absorbant. Horrific title! I'd prefer Italy II GP over that 🤣 Noone will call it this. For the sake of continuity, could they not have kept it as Emilia-Romagna GP?

Also: need to take into account that All About That Bass had pre-release airplay for 6 weeks(ish). Not sure how instant it was elsewhere... But in the days of immediate releases, being an instant smash (in all barometers) debut hit is probably even more impressive!

I think the new version is great! First listen was odd, I felt their voices were too mature(?) and the explicit replacements were jarring... But on further listens, the lyrics feel infinitely more natural and the regular version feels like more of a radio edit (and, bearing in mind they were marketed at a Disney channel type audience, I wouldn't be surprised if the label made them adjust the lyrics) - the differences in their vocals and the production set it apart in a distinguished way, it feels like an essential release rather than a cash in!

Obviously, he has won the most races in F1, and I believe he's far from the best in the sport (I don't think I'd rate him any higher than Button - he's good, but the quality of his recent teammates is debatable, coupled with having the fastest car); he has (more importantly) spearheaded talks on diversity in F1, so I'd say it is very much deserved!
