  1. Brilliant classic power ballad. Would have been a hit in the 90’s! It’s available on Apple Music now, so I assume also through other avenues.
  2. Juranamo posted a post in a topic in Pop and Country
Yeah, she seems very aware that she is a voice and very much a ‘pop-puppet’. She gets given the songs, spends some time recording, and pops out the music. She obviously doesn’t give a shit whether she likes the music or not, she (and the label) just want the dollar. To me, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that, as long as I like the music from people like this, that’s all I care about.
  3. I guess I watched a different incident to everyone else then, I still look back on it and can’t see any way that Vettel could have made it through without contact. :P Oh well, stewards made their decision, on to the next one! Good on Norris stepping up to McLaren next year, let’s hope they can provide him with a decent car to at least match the Renaults!
  4. Absolutely disgusted at 1) the stewards decision and 2) the C4 arselicking commentary over the Hamilton / Vettel incident. I’m hardly Vettel’s biggest fan (and it even gave Kimi his best shot at the win as Ferrari clearly would have played swapsies :D), but to me Hamilton did not leave Vettel anywhere near enough room in his extremely heavy car. I feel like Hamilton deserved a penalty at least as I felt that was pretty dangerous and sure others have been penalised for similar...
  5. I love Marcus Ericsson, but just in sort of a tragic way. Don’t think I’ve seen this meme though?
  6. As I’ve said previously, I think this is by far the best solution. And I think the cap should be something VERY LOW, like 10 streams - otherwise it wouldn’t solve the problem. I don’t know how many times the GP listen to songs, but surely once you’ve played a song 10 times, you can tell if you like it or not. Lots of people will reach that point in the first few weeks, but others may take a long time, leading to a gradual decline for non-fanbase acts. The streaming chart can track which old songs are constantly being listened to...
  7. It always confuses me when people lumber Scouting for Girls and The Hoosiers as landfill indie. Yes, they play music with guitars, but they couldn’t be any closer to pop music if they tried (and as far as I’m aware, neither were marketed as indie bands in the same vein as The Fratellis, The Kooks, Razorlight, Arctic Monkeys etc were...).
  8. I didn’t watch the qualifying, so didn’t see this footage (if it was broadcast). But Ocon has pretty much confirmed that both Racing Point seats have been filled next year, by Stroll and Pérez, no surprises there. https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/ocon-unc...3164700/?nrt=54
  9. Red Bull have, unsurprisingly, confirmed Pierre Gasly for 2019!
  10. Glad to see Out of Control as best of the rest, so far. For me it is such a sublime album, and pretty damn cohesive too (barring ‘We Wanna Party’, which was thankfully tacked onto the end and not placed somewhere in the middle!). It’s my favourite, but I knew Tangled Up would be the runaway winner!
  11. Ferrari: Sebastian Vettel & Kimi Räikkönen Mercedes: Lewis Hamilton & Valtteri Bottas Red Bull: Max Verstappen & Pierre Gasly Renault: Daniel Ricciardo & Nico Hülkenberg Haas: Kevin Magnussen & Sergio Pérez Force India: Esteban Ocon & Lance Stroll McLaren: Carlos Sainz & Stoffel Vandoorne Toro Rosso: Brendon Hartley & Lando Norris Sauber: Charles Leclerc & Marcus Ericsson Williams: Sergey Sirotkin & George Russell Revised Predix
  12. This is such a unique, quirky banger. I love it, it’s so catchy. Shame it’s destined to do nothing... :(
  13. Cheryl, Nicola & Kimberley: “Hey Girls, let’s release this crap first.” Nadine: “But that’ll finish us...” C, N & K: “Isn’t that the point?” 1) Biology 2) No Good Advice 3) Call the Shots 4) The Loving Kind 5) Love Machine 6) I Think We’re Alone Now 7) Beautiful ‘Cause You Love Me
  14. Administrators have accepted an offer led by Lawrence Stroll (Lance’s daddy) for Force India, so I’d say it is now extremely likely that he’ll be driving there next year...
  15. Mercedes: Lewis Hamilton & Valtteri Bottas Ferrari: Sebastian Vettel & Kimi Räikkönen Red Bull: Daniel Ricciardo & Max Verstappen Renault: Nico Hülkenberg & Jack Aitken Force India: Sergio Pérez & Esteban Ocon Haas: Kevin Magnussen & Antonio Giovinazzi McLaren: Stoffel Vandoorne & Lando Norris Toro Rosso: Carlos Sainz & Pierre Gasly Sauber: Charles Leclerc & Marcus Ericsson Williams: Sergey Sirotkin & George Russell Wehrlein will not be seen in F1 again, I’m sure of it. He barely did better than Ericsson in that Sauber. Ericsson is only still in F1 because, well... money talks. It makes sense for Ferrari to try to get Leclerc into a slightly faster car, but I reckon they’ll decide on leaving him in the Sauber for stability. Stroll’s backers won’t be able to get him a seat with Force India as Mercedes are still giving such a benefit for Ocon’s seat and Pérez won’t be moving anywhere. Stroll doesn’t want to continue with Williams so that frees up a spot for Mercedes to plonk Russell in. I can see Alonso moving into a different McLaren operation (I know he is contracted to race for McLaren, but not explicitly F1, think he might move to IndyCar in search of his triple), making room for Norris. Sainz will head back to Toro Rosso after his loan finishes, with the view to moving him to Red Bull in 2020. The final spot at Renault will go to one of their development drivers (presumably Jack Aitken). Bye bye Stroll, Grosjean and Hartley 👋
  16. Alonso and the team seem to be taking sympathy. Apparently Stoffel’s car (for some unknown reason) is showing up with less downforce. I don’t know if that’s down to the way he’s driving the car, or a technical issue (surely if it was, they could just replicate Alonso’s aerodynamic setup, and see what he gets out of it, no?). I’d be worried if I was Stof, there are other similarly experienced drivers outshining him (Ocon & Leclerc mainly).
  17. 09 | Sanctify 10 | Hallelujah 10 | All For You 10 | Karma 08 | Hypnotised 09 | Rendezvous 09 | If You’re Over Me 08 | Preacher 06 | Lucky Escape 08 | Palo Santo 06 | Here 07 | Howl 07 | Don’t Panic 09 | Up in Flames I adore the singles, after spamming the album. It all works so well! Hallelujah, Karma and (obviously) All For You to be given the single treatment next plz.
  18. I think any relationship (and what comes with it) between any consensual adult couple should be legal. If, for example, a mother and son or daughter are in love with each other, who am I to say that they should not be together. I do believe that it should be illegal for them to conceive together though, in this case adoption or a surrogate would be appropriate if they wanted a child together. They should use appropriate contraception, if the relationship is hetero, to reduce the risk of pregnancy and incestual complications.
  19. The only other one I can vaguely see as a single is ‘Forgiveness’, as in more on the lines of ‘The Only Exception’. Of course, nothing is gonna smash at this point!
  20. Either one of the Gran Turismo’s or the first Digimon World! I just got the latest one, and I’m enjoying it, back on the same lines as the first one. :D
  21. For the record, I don’t dislike the song (or anything on the album), and I can see why they’d choose it as a single! I just prefer most of the album over this. At least the other remaining commercialish choice wasn’t chosen - silver linings...
  22. Was ‘Rose-Colored Boy’ an official single? I can’t recall it being added to R1’s Playlist. If this isn’t added (in a way I hope it’s snubbed, if RCB was a single, as it’s much weaker...one of the weakest on the album imo), I hope it doesn’t mean they’re dead in R1’s books. :(
  23. 08 Take Shelter 08 Desire 10 King 08 Shine 07 Eyes Shut 06 Worship 08 Meteorite 06 Sanctify 07 If You're Over Me Bandwagon jumping (and including all the singles, poor brave ‘Worship’ :P). For me, the singles released from this album are amongst their previous lows. They’re still yet to record anything close to ‘King’ imo, I do enjoy all of these songs though, and I’d say ‘If You’re Over Me’ is their catchiest since ‘King’... but definitely the most throwaway!
  24. Pretty much everyone I know only uses WhatsApp for messaging, it kinda sucks because I prefer the Messages interface. I do use it because of that reason though, and it’s handy that you can reach people on pretty much all devices as long as they have an internet connection, so in some way I guess it makes sense for it to be the preferred contact method!
  25. From what I saw (I was on the app the other day and it directed me to a link to download YouTube Music) it is an audio streaming thing - and costs £12.99(!!!) per month. It did seem to have an interesting function where it would find the song you want to listen to if you type out lyrics or explain the song though (not sure how that would work, sounds very smart)...
