The husband has a HUGE boxed collection of these. I don't really get it though.
  2. MIND. BLOWN. I always assumed 'Superstar' was written specifically for Jamelia. :o The original sounds pretty much identical except with the final pre-chorus removed and some lyrics are different! Either way, the Jamelia version is still one of my favourite tracks!
  3. Wake Me Up The Show Love Machine (Jump) I'll Stand By You
  4. Sound of the Underground No Good Advice Life Got Cold Jump The first 2 singles are amongst my favourites of all time. I often forget about 'Life Got Cold', but it's a lovely song, and 'Jump' is a solid cover, but nothing mind blowing!
  5. I think the side stories were entirely necessary If anything, I felt like the side stories weren't prominent enough. I thought it was such a lovely film and it actually brought tears to my eyes which is pretty rare these days. EDIT: Accidentally bolded instead of spoilered.

Is 896k streams in a day a new record? Great figure, strange not too see Mariah at #1 and the The Pogues joining them in the Top 2 (although isn't 'Last Christmas' usually the second most streamed Christmas song?).
  7. I really enjoy both of these, neither are the best Christmas songs but they both are entirely different and have their own festive qualities. I think I PREFER 'Fairytale of New York', but it depends on what mood I'm in really!
  8. Well this is horrendously generic then. Sounds like the love child of 'Millionaire' and any other Sigala song. Generic isn't always a bad thing, and I'm sure it'll last a good few plays before I tire of it, I just don't like how lazy and by-numbers it feels. :(
  9. I actually reckon they stuck Christmas as next week theme because of all the people that screamed 'fix' when Fright Night was selected for Halloween weekend.
  10. As much as I'd love Saara to win, I'm 99% sure she'll come second (which may - or may not - be based purely on the fact that she comes 2nd in every contest she enters). My predix (comparable post X Factor success levels in brackets): 1) Matt Terry (Joe McElderry) 2) Saara Aalto (Amelia Lily) 3) 5 After Midnight (either JLS (sustained boyband trajectory) or Cher Lloyd (a couple of big hits then fade)) 4) Emily Middlemas (Shayne Ward) 5) Honey G (Jedward)
  11. This is actually my least favourite of her singles to date, I'd have rather seen a 'Last Dance' re-release, but I guess this was inevitable. It's not a bad song, it just lacks the punch that her other singles have imo!
  12. Their prior performance was just a group performance with the contestants though. I wouldn't call being invited to get a 'regular' slot them 'struggling for guests'. (A nostalgic group song vs a current song)
  13. 'Fairytale of New York' will be in there somewhere (presumably multiple versions, too), but it is not listed under the 'holiday' genre which is why it has been missed. I see this mentioned by someone at least once every year.

Faves: Saara Aalto, Honey G & Sam Laverey Least Faves: 5 After Midnight & Ryan Lawrie Bottom 2 Predix: Saara Aalto & 4 of Diamonds (Ryan survives lifeline) Saara Survives? No. :(
  16. 'Waste a Moment' is the third Kings of Leon track that I've heard and liked/not wanted to switch off immediately (the others being 'Sex on Fire' and 'Don't Matter'), I hope it can nab a week or two in the Top 40 at some point - and that subsequent singles from this album are also decent!
  17. Saara's was BY FAR the best performance (vocally and visually) for me tonight, amazing! I'm just gutted that no one is connecting with her. :(
  18. Absolutely died at Louis not even looking at Gifty whilst she performed.
  19. I look at it every week, my one gripe is the colour of the current tracks. Lime green is extremely difficult to read, a different colour would be appreciated! Keep up the good work. :D

I've never played any of my Feeder LP's. They are my favourite band so I collect everything I can get my hands on and want to part with my money so they continue to bring the chooons. They do look pretty though, so that's a bonus!
  21. I think you're right on the sales chart front (as it got a simultaneous physical release iirc). But their label's bizarre decision to put the single up for pre-order before anyone had heard it meant it only got to about 10/11 on iTunes before freefalling as fanbase preorders no longer affect the rolling chart. That's how I remember it going, at least.
  22. This week; Feeder - All Bright Electric (Deluxe CD, 12" & Cassette) Probably buying nothing else but stream as always!

Feeder at 16 too ✋ My versions of the album arrived today, I'd be surprised if they're far off the Top 10!
  24. What a performance that would be, 'That's My Girl' is such a jam!
  25. I genuinely love every track on there. The lowest point for me ('We Wanna Party') is even a 9/10 in my book. I love 'Fix Me Up' and 'Live in the Country', though a lot of people don't seem to "get" them! Honestly one of (if not) my favourite albums of all time. ❤️ The album feels cohesive yet diverse at the same time, the perfect mix to my ears!
