I listened to this yesterday and thought quite the opposite, it sounds like it's come straight out of 2010 to my ears!

It's not out OA/OS, it is on streaming services though. Download release date is mid April, looks like global still haven't got with the times...

I can't get enough of 'Lush Life' at the moment; but for the life of me, I can't understand why they've released it in January in the UK when it is quite clearly a summer pop anthem! I do like those tracks, 'Broken Flowers' is an irritating ear worm that I can't help but like and the Eric Prydz track is nowhere near his best but it's good enough! 'Stressed Out' is brilliant, please smash! Thanks for commenting. :D

I wouldn't be against a 'You Are the Music in Me' win Jahq, as long as it's the Sharpay version. The first version is just zzzzzzzz in comparison. In an ideal world, that, 'Scream', 'Now or Never', 'Breaking Free' or 'Stick to the Status Quo' would win!

'FourFiveSeconds' (I know it didn't flop, per se, but it certainly didn't feel as big as her other recent lead singles), 'Bitch Better Have My Money' and 'American Oxygen' never caused that to happen so I can't see this flopping being any different. As much as I may long for another brilliant Rihanna track, I can't see it happening in the near future!

I've seen you post this SO MANY times before haha! I haven't actually heard either in years, I remember them being identical though, maybe my 15 year old ears were not functioning correctly, I shall have to listen to them again!

I don't think listening to music for free should be treated any differently to paid for streaming. I personally pay for my Apple Music subscription, but if people want to stream for free and not get the rewards of a subscription (offline listening, no ads etc), the that's their prerogative! The songs are still being listened to and it is still helping to measure the popularity of each particular song! On a side note; Your views on whether advertisers should pay record companies (or not) are completely irrelevant to this thread though. Where is the evidence that advertising increases the expense for others? Companies need to advertise in some form of another in order to generate sales (which in turn can help to reduce prices for consumers). The record industry even uses this through airplay, literal advertisements and promo slots on radio/tv. I think that the streaming ratio should stay as it is, the ratio for physical singles didn't change just because downloads took off so why should streaming be any different? It leaves the chart as consistent as can be. Admittedly, the slower pace of the chart has caused my interest in it to take a huge nosedive, but me wanting a faster paced chart would need to be achieved more organically.

Assuming that's toppled Star Wars then (considering it was 'only' on £6m this week), 'only' 4 weeks for Star Wars; colour me shocked. :o I'll post this week's UK chart when it's up on bfi!

I'd personally like to see Chaos 2, Typhoon, Roadblock Razer and Panic Attack back, as my top choices. Also Deotoir and Napalm for hilarities sake!
