  1. I think I've found a link. It's fun!
  2. While I agree that Lazy Susan was the correct winner, I don't think Vybe was out of her league at all! It was definitely a two horse race though, and I'm glad Lazy got the crown! I really really loved this season as a whole though: by far my favourite Down Under season to date!
  3. 😭😭😭 Will never forget her roasting me for looking like DDC at a gig before. πŸ˜” RIP

  7. Almost certainly the latter. It's argue that the official chart is almost always dictated by playlisting these days... Looking at this list, I'm wondering if it would be fair to say that (for the Christmas period, at least) iTunes is a fairer reflection of what Christmas music is actually popular in the UK?
  8. Oh, I use Apple Music. It's available all year on there though!
  9. 45 | Lights Camera Action 63 | Tension Assumed there would be more than just those!
  10. JADE 02 | Fantasy 04 | Angel Of My Dreams 31 | Midnight Cowboy Perrie 82 | You Go Your Way 94 | Forget About Us

That must show up lots on autoplay/my station!
  12. I would have liked it if they had the whole show on ITVX like they did with the Girls Aloud one!

I definitely see where you're coming from here. My ideal scenario would not be to capture how many times a song has been listened to, but to find a way of capturing how many individuals are listening to a song enough. For this reason (and none of us know whether it would even achieve what I believe it would achieve or not), I think the best way to capture that would be a lifetime cap on streams of a song of like 10 streams. 0.1 sale per stream Can it be manipulated? Probably. But it's can only be manipulated in a way that garners a maximum of one sale per person. Most people may not even make one sale of a song through the current ratio, but their contribution to the songs sales continue forever, which - to me - isn't what our singles chart should be reflecting (I think that would be better reflected in the streaming chart and maybe an artists chart or something). Seeing little movement on a chart doesn't make for an entertaining chart show, and songs not getting a chance to shine just fuels the flame of the same 10 big hits being the only ones that get a look in... EDIT: Just seen this has already been covered! I jumped the gun, but essentially I agree with the notion that any recording of streaming without being capped will always end in Mr Brightside charting forever, playlist fuelled or not. 🀣

I would say this is a different thing all together. YOU have curated that playlist using songs that YOU want to hear. A Spotify/Apple Music playlist has been chosen for you, so you are not actively seeking out those songs to listen to, someone is telling you "this is what we have for you today" in a similar way to the radio. You have the option to turn off, or skip the songs, but you haven't said "I want X Song in this playlist" or "I would like to listen to this selection of songs that I already know I enjoy".
  15. From what I remember, the reviews for 'Disease' were almost unanimously 4-5*, or am I just imagining that? I recall it being praised as a return to form, and Gaga being quintessentially Gaga in the best way possible! The reviews definitely influenced how I thought the song would perform as I shared (and still share) the same viewpoint and thought this would slot right in with the big pop hit revival we've seen lately! Obviously this hasn't quite been the case, and it hasn't been a flop by any means: I just loved the song, believed the hype, and expected a monster smash #1 hit out of this... 🀣 (I to that says more about my taste in music, I'm clearly still stuck in the music of a decade ago haha) Either way... Pleased to see it on an EOY list, and hope others display the same taste! Hopefully the masses will see what (I'm assuming) the gays like me see and this will gain some chart traction in the new year. One can hope...
  16. But... Vybe winning this episode... Wearing THAT?! And putting her sister in the exact same outfit too?! Really? I would have had her bottom 3 ngl. Mandy was definitely above her this week (and I normally love Vybe)
  17. Grant Nicholas (Feeder) does the same thing as Vanessa pretty often, before getting Buck Rogers over and done with! Sometimes combines that with what Passenger says...
  18. All of this tbh. Actually feel La Voix would be our best winner if she won, but there we go!

Echoing the above, you should be allowed to say "this is the end" if you are in pain and it's almost certain you won't recover. As long as there are safeguards in place to prevent it being abused and to make sure the person is fit to make that decision, I see no reason why it shouldn't be legal.
  20. For the same reasons anyone would want a live album by any artist...? It's not usually for me, but I'm still debating getting the LP as I was there...
  21. Adele is definitely an accidental superstar. By this I mean she has a voice that labels etc want to promote to make loads of money (and have successfully done many times now), but I get the impression she's far more comfortable making music at her own pace and if people like it they like it, if they don't they don't. Most of 30 wasn't exactly commercial. πŸ˜‚ I also get the impression the she very well knows she does not need to earn a penny more for the rest of her life, and this is probably FAR more than she ever dreamed of earning. With that in mind, I'm sure she's under no pressure (from herself, at least) to release anything any time soon!
  22. I would say it is... Lights Camera Action was the launch track for this album. There was no mention of My Oh My being attached to an album at the time iirc?

I do find it strange that the midweek popularity of a film is completely ommited from the chart (particularly for films that would probably achieve longer legs due to being marketed at an older demographic...), but there we go. πŸ˜‚
  24. Interesting. I've just got around to playing The Dreamixes, the label on the vinyl states 45RPM (which I thought was odd for a 12"), but it actually runs at 33RPM! Idk, maybe they want you to listen to it sped up? 🀣
