  1. Yeah, but I think my question is - at the peak of her career like Fever, why the touring company/record label didn't think of Wembley stadium? She was massive then, i remember ticketmaster going down due to demand of her shows so surely she could've easily filled up 2-3 dates at W Stadium.
  2. Has she? I’d easily imagine her selling it out during he peak Fever era, or even during the Les Folies tour, so I wonder how she never played there in her career (I’m assuming she hasn’t). How come? Is it that she prefers the arena style size for he setup of her shows or her/her record label didn’t have the confidence she could sell out stadium?
  3. Even a top 10 would have been amazing, I don’t think even Kylie fans expected it to be no1. And the record too “2nd female after Madonna to have a no1 in 3 straight decades”.

I know he's not a Minogue sibling, he just slept with one :P But as his early musical career was so closely aligned to Kylie's, I thought I'd start this thread in the Kylie and Dannii forum. What are our thoughts on Jason's debut album, and the best selling UK album of 1989? I happened to give it a listen the other day and it still sounds amazing. I'm one of the few that isn't fond of both "Nothing can divide us" and "Too many broken hearts" but rest of album just gives me that nice warm fuzzy of the late 80s PWL. My favourite will always be "Everyday I love you more".
  5. You're right! Lucky, her first UK release got that "special TOTP video" where she drives around in a car in Sydney Then, for GTBC they played the video (that's the time she was wrapping up Neighbours and relo'ing to London) Then her maiden TOTP was Locomotion.
  6. The moment (was it mark Goodier?) announcing SA was the UK no1 and they quickly interviewed Kylie! I’ll never forget. To me, more than the song itself, it was the context.
  7. Her TOTP studio debut was Je Ne Sais, if I'm not mistaken. It was quite something seeing Charlene in a local British studio!
  8. From the early Charlene era, "GTBC" and "Wouldn't change a thing" are my 2 top favourites. And perhaps "Turn it into love" would be a 3rd.
  9. Lucky, obvs. I didn’t even know Locomotion was her first ever single. In fact I heard the original 1987 Aussie release that was less poppy only in 1994!!
  10. Hate to rain on others' parade but hated it then, hate it even more now.
  11. The reviews have all been glowing. In a lot of ways, critics are finally coming around to admitting her living legend status and how she’s managed to sound so fresh and current through so many years and generations and still packs in arenas.
  12. I wonder if she has any promo lined up for the tour. Like the odd interview or something.
  13. I definitely see her getting a 6th decade with a UK no1 album. We're kind of half way through this decade, so even if the label slaps another GH album with 120 variants, a #1 is assured! :P Unless the album chart undergoes a massive change.
  14. Seattle venue was almost full. I read that 9K out of 10K seats were sold, and it definitely looked packed to the rafters, so to speak. Without sounding over aspirationa: I was hoping SF would sell out so much they'd announce a 2nd date. KM's team probably thought the same which is why they had a 3 day gap between SF and the Seattle show. Regardless, I'm very happy at the massive success of her arena tour, and at this stage of her career. I see her again in Manchester!
