Awww, that doesn't exactly set my hopes alight either from what you just said :( It's strange because I rarely rate songs below 6 or as a red colour, but this time around 1/3 came into this category, unfortunately :drama:

I have listened to everything in semi final 1 now, and there are definitely a lot of indie fluff this time around, but not in such a good fashion as I had hoped. I use a four coulur rating system (Red, blue, orange and green - where green is the best) in addition to a 1-10 grading system and I don't think I've ever given this many entries a red colour (and 6 or below) before on my first impressions of a semi - but on the other hand I doubt I'll struggle to find my top 10. There are enough songs I really like too! :D Skall and Fljótavík positively surprised and impressed me, but other than that (and without revealing too much!) I am not feeling at all impressed overall. I hope semi final 2 has more GEMS in it!

Da Bop! :D AND THEN there’s Umiiruka who’s managed to climb 10 places with a french language song! ^_^ Ingermanlandia may not have ran the longest in terms of how much they’ve gained in rank, but they did run fastest in XLV and won the whole shebang! FYR Vojvodina-On-The-Wold who is now Altyr Muunilinst (keeping them both for now to deconfuse people) climbed 13 places, coming from outside the top 30 to inside after DNQ’ing two times in a row just like Sangria did. Congratulations! ^_^ And my own country – Greenfroze - ALMOST achieved a RECORD climb this year by climbing 18 PLACES up the scoreboard hadn’t it been for #00274E who climbed an INCREDIBLE 20 places! I know I’m a big dreamer, so I’m not letting that get me down as I’m already filthy happy about my results, but #00274E definitely has the biggest reason to celebrate this month for on whatever BJSC conquest they initially set out for! Countries with a big regression since the last contest: Only three countries were “worth” mentioning this time, and all of them fell 7 places downwards from not being in the final for one reason or the other. But please do continue trusting in yourselves – Botanikka, Scherzland and Zechonia – you may have been the black sheeps of this contest, but that is also your strengths. I wouldn't mind either way, but I think I prefer being in the semi finals as well, for the same reason as you! My entry is definitely a grower this time and should benefit from multiple listens.

It doesn't seem like a big problem if someone sends a song that's been featured on Scandipop, and it definitely shouldn't be considered vetoed because of that. I don't send entries through that blog, so if my song does feature there (Thea Oskarsen did, but I found her before her song got posted on there), I wouldn't want to be called uninspired, lazy or cheap - as apparently several people do experience likewise and it's not like most people who participate in this contest follow that blog closely or even listens to or like EVERY song on there. (Especially now with the hipster smoothie takeover and all) I mean it's a decent blog and scandipop lovers love it for obvious reasons, but should scandipop generally be frowned upon now, just because it's featured on a blog spesificially for that genre? If it's good it's BOUND to be there sooner or later, and we should be able to send that type of music without being "judged" or anything :unsure: :drama:

I have all three of his albums! And for me his best song is by far 'Strawberry avalanche' :wub: It's actually one of my favourite songs of all time! 'Good time' is quite good as well, and bodes even better for his new album than his recent EP.

OMG I didn't see this until now! Great initative! :D The Greenfroze government happily supports the building with fundings of 50% of the price of the bridge, contributing heavily with our green knowledge and techonology as well to make it run partly on electric power and partly magnetic force to enable any car travelling on the bridge to be pulled over without the use of gas or any other environmental damaging chemicals. In return this action makes the bridge self-sustaining! :cheer:
