  1. What did you win with?
  2. I remember there being some discussion about this  But I agree with you, even if I do like that song - it feels a bit inauthentic coming from us. If I remember correctly, we didn't have that many great choices that year, apart from Infinity with a fabulous eurodance track, wich I loved at the time and hoped could win it! *goes to purchase from iTunes to have some listens* Oh and 'Rocket ride', coming second from Siste sjansen  But NO, the people voted for Guri Schanke :nocheer: Which seemed a bit random for me..
  3. Does the song title have anything to do with energized body parts? :P
  4. Haha, fantastic! :D I wish I had someone else to have discussions and do live ratings and scoreboards and stuff with, but I often feel very alone in liking everything Eurovision related, sadly :( Hell, I almost feel alone in liking pop music  :nocheer: Not including Buzzjack, naturally ^_^
  5. 2003 made me a fan of Eurovision. 2007 made me a complete loon about it! I absolutely love this year, and after watching that recap I have about 27 countries I'd like to vote for! :drama:
  6. Oooh, interesting! :o I wonder who that is. Is he/she famous here in Norway? Or completely unknown?
  7. Nope! :D They're quite unknown, and has been making a lot of icelandic covers of many different, famous pop songs - and this seems to be their only original track :o
  8. Confirmed! I don't believe anyone has taken it, as they are an icelandic act - with an icelandic song! Quite strange how this has turned out for me, as I never would've thought that I would be sending two foreign language entries in a row!
  9. Thanks, but thank you too for sending that wonderful song  It's a Kaizers Orchestra cover, but still I'm not sure if I've ever heard it before, so I'm glad you sent it! How overwhelming! Thank you so much everyone! :D
  10. Thank you! And I'm glad you liked it to that extent. I agree; it most certainly is flawless  :D :D It still feels a bit unbelievable, but thanks a lot! ^_^ So I noticed! :o I should be at the top end of your voting history right about now :D It's fantastic, as in BJSC you've only given me 4 points  but yeah, glad you love it as well ^_^
  11. WOW! This is incredible! :o First I actually managed to win BJSC for the first time ever since I made my debut in 2009, and just after that I win in Unknown Pleasures (which I thought I'd never do!) so I am quite surprised about this! Glad too, as it seems many of you made a great discovery in 'Nova' And how amazing isn't this outcome?! :D I did think to myself and played with the idea while reading the results and it seemed like I was doing very well - that IF I ever won this it would be very amusing and interesting to swap contests like that. And it happened! still trying to digest it, though.. Oh and I thought the results went rather well. That was only one mistake, so nothing to beat yourself up about ^_^ I liked reading your comments, and it was exciting too!

At least you liked it to an extent, I hope :drama: Hmm.. I think I gave you 1 point in the semi finals, so I might not've helped you as such :( ^_^ @2* - I guess you're right. At least she did get to perform in the finals, and hopefully managed to get a few more fans (like she deserves :D ) @5 - Oh? How do you see them? Are they having any promotional series of some sort? :o But I agree, though, this is better than 'Crash my party', which I didn't particularly like that much. This reminds me of Katy Perrys' 'Teenage dream', which can explain why I enjoy it so much! @7 - I noticed. You gave it 7 points in the semi final, and nothing in the final! :o Too bad you grew tired of it :nocheer: I think it's a great, catchy pop song with a latin sound to it. It's still a bit surprising that she's 40 years old, though. But it shouldn't matter that much. So good for her! @11 - I didn't knew you were participating until I saw you had an entry in it in your chart. I can't think of any entry who would obviously suit you, though. So I'm looking forward to the results tonight! @15 - I'm actually listening to it right now! It's so beautiful, I love her voice and the arrangements and how magical and adventurous it is  Thanks! And thank you for commenting again! And you almost like everything in my chart too, which is amazing! :D

Aaah, nicely played! :D Well, my name is Nicolai Alexander ^_^ A russian and a greek name, actually :o And yours? I don't think you've said your name before :) Haha, you're right. I really want that to make me feel better  And maybe it does, just a little bit :kink: @14 - That's great! Be careful, or you'll end up like everybody else :P Aaww, that's too bad, I really like her :( You know, I am currently listening to some new K-pop songs, so I am going to chart them next week! :magic: :cheer:

Hello! ^_^ A bit surprised you gave me 1 point in the final. Sorry I couldn't give you any points, as I did like your song it was just so many songs I wanted to vote for! :drama: Thanks for commenting!
  15. I'm really glad my idea of using national flags has gotten such a positive response! :D Everything felt a bit more 'realistic', pretty and most of all including that way. As everyone participating is different/unique etc, and this is another way of showcasing that. When I was preparing my results presentation for the final, I then came up with the highlighting and recap part. I did have a lot of ideas before I even began hosting, but they came better late than never! Oh and to get such a compliment from you is extraordinary ^_^ :o Oh, stop it! :heehee:  I believe in Dandy, though. He knows how to pull it off, I'm sure! But if he (or anyone else hosting in the future) wants to use all of the national flags I've resized, in any way or to any type of presentation, I would be happy to provide direct links for them! ^_^
  16. Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! :D
  17. The name of my capital is Green Forest ^_^ Nocturne is the name of our airborn castle where the final show was arranged.
  18. What do you mean? Are they changing any of the elements in the song for the semi final? THIS! :D
  19. Oooh, very cool graphics! :D I look forward to this contest, as it feels so good to be a normal participant again, but it feels a bit weird at the same time. I have many excellent ideas for an entry in this time as well  so I might struggle to make a final decision. Oh and please don't feel like you have something to live up to in regards to hosting. I do appreciate that people have been saying that, but you don't need to make this contest as I made mine or anything like that as you should just do it the way YOU would like to do things.
  20. TOP 89 - 80 http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af169/Greenfroze/END%20OF%20YEAR%20CHART/Sichelle-Trengermer.jpg 89 - Sichelle - Trenger mer (#4) She entered MGP 2011 with this song, but failed to reach both the final and the Last chance round, but I wish she qualified as this is an enjoyable song. I think I like this more because it's in norwegian, but objectively it's a charming song given that production. She has a nice, soft voice and she has always seemed genuine in everything I've hard her singing. Her stage performance is great, too! She only has one album, but if she were to release more material I remain enthusiastic. Fun fact: I once crossed the street at the same time as her in Oslo! :o D_u8f3vYsIk http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af169/Greenfroze/END%20OF%20YEAR%20CHART/SwingflyTouchandgo.jpg 88 - Swingfly - Touch and go (#11) I really like most of Swingflys' pop songs and this is quite a decent, catchy summer tune! It's so easy to get this song stuck in your head, and I like his rapping, but most of all I love the famele singer in this track. I can't remember her name right now, but not only is she fit, she makes this song as enjoyable as it is. I considered sending this to BJSC for a very long time ago (it was released in 2009!), but when Swingfly entered Melodifestivalen I found him a bit too well known. Either way this is highly recommended! OqbguW7LU_g&ob=av2n http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af169/Greenfroze/END%20OF%20YEAR%20CHART/HyperCrushKickusout.jpg 87 - Huper Crush - Kick us out (#9) I think this was a hit at the time it was released, and deservedly so, as this is a SMASHER of a track. And so catchy, so fantastically party flavoured it's immensely easy to get up and dance to! Aaah, the americans knows how to party, indeed! B-) KUTtHW22qYA&ob=av2e http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af169/Greenfroze/END%20OF%20YEAR%20CHART/AdeleSomeonelikeyou.jpg 86 - Adele - Someone like you (#4) This woman needs no introduction, nor do I really need to tell you anything about the track at hand, but I charted this song because I had heard it on the radio A LOT, and then I started to like it. There's no denying she is a star, and I can easily see why. http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af169/Greenfroze/END%20OF%20YEAR%20CHART/MarinaandTheDiamondsRadioactive.jpg 85 - Marina & The Diamonds - Radioactive (#6) I am a big fan of Marina, and I bought her debut album 'The family jewels', which I don't regret a single bit - as she is currently one of my most played artists on Last.Fm! I think probably I enjoyed all of her songs at this point, but when she came back with 'Fear & loathing' I actually found myself dissapointed. She had lost that unique, quirky and energetic spark I loved at the time of her debut. So I was reluctant to listen to this song. Apparantly I had no reason to underestimate her; this is a great song, which was perfectly appropriately released at a time where this sound was at its most popular. I miss her original style, but I most certainly welcome this as well. Fascinating voice and lovely dance melodies, ahoi! :D http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af169/Greenfroze/END%20OF%20YEAR%20CHART/Brandur-Theillusionof.jpg 84 - Brandur - The illusion of (#6) How can I describe this? Well.. hot stuff Brandur is from Faroe Islands, but have been performing in Iceland and Sweden a lot. He entered Melodifestivalen in 2008, but this is a completely different style than anything else he has done, so I can describe him as a top notch swedish pop artist. But 'The illusion of' sounds like ícelandic jónsi on speed, which is to me a VERY good thing  I love his voice, and the energy in the chorus and melodies/production are contrasted with the calm, beautiful verses. Love it! VjEcGBpCggs http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af169/Greenfroze/END%20OF%20YEAR%20CHART/DajanaLalalove.jpg 83 - Dajana - La la love (#6) Numayania sent this to BJSC, but I initially did almost send this before that. Dajana is an unknown singer in Sweden and this seems to be her debut track. It's an uneventful track at that, but it's quite a charming and light, little, listening worthy pop song! ^_^ ogWpVh4s-uo http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af169/Greenfroze/END%20OF%20YEAR%20CHART/LeeJungHyunSuspiciousman.jpg 82 - Lee Jung Hyun - Suspicious man (#5) Another K-Pop entry! YAY! :D What'cha think, Oricon? :kink: I don't think I dare say anything about this artist since you're reading this, but luckily I don't know that much either, but I think she's a BIG star in South Korea - other than that I think this is more poppy and commercial than her usual material, albeit still with a rough edge. Either way, a GREAT and catchy song! l3owvxC8IPU http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af169/Greenfroze/END%20OF%20YEAR%20CHART/WonderGirlsBemybaby.jpg 81 - Wonder Girls - Be my baby (#5) This is absolutely lovely! I love how the harmonies are so christmas like, and along with that delicious production and gorgeous choreography this catchy, charming act is so hard to dislike  3fy4cqWMhyI&ob=av2e http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af169/Greenfroze/END%20OF%20YEAR%20CHART/AnineStang-Dominoes.jpg 80 - Anine Stang - Dominoes (#5) Anine is a relatively new norwegian pop artist who entered our pop music scene as a breath of fresh air. She knows how to handle the business and actually managed to get the gituarist from Guns N' Roses, as well as getting blogged about on Perez Hilton. I sent her debut single 'Trying you on' to BJSC, so I wasn't pleased when Letland sent 'Dominoes' to the contest when this was released - mostly because they did better with it :kink: Although I admit this is a better pop song, worthy of more success than it has been getting here in Norway. This is after all high quality scandipop music! _cnzDgppAVI

Hello there! :D @2* - Haha, you're right. So many new songs charting that week :P But there are just so many new songs to listen to atm, so I am bound to be switching a lot  @11* & 1 - Hmm.. well.. then it does seem a bit uneventful and safe. In that case - 'Overflow' would've been a much better entry :( I think it's one of the most instant songs I've ever listened to (approximately) and it's SO HUGE! Especially that chorus; everything about it screams winner to me  @2 - I was very pleased with that, but at the same time - when she didn't became one of the final four entries, I felt extra gutted for her as she must feel very dissapointed about that :nocheer: Failing to qualify in the semi final, then getting to the final because of a jury and failing again in the final. I wouldn't feel much appreciated by the public at that point, tbh :( Thank you for commenting again! ^_^
  22. Freeze posted a post in a topic in Personal Charts
Haha, awkward :P Oh yes, you're absolutely right! But I evaluate my points in other ways too, as Roly-Poly seemed to be an even more inspired and less of a cheap entry and in need of well deserved support, whereas Le Kid has been sent many times before, is uninspired and at that against the spirit of the contest. I LOVE 'Human behaviour", but it doesn't deserve points as a BJSC entry. @12 - I agree, it deserves to do so, so, so much better than 30th in the final, but I can appreciate the immensely tough competition in the contest. Even if it came second to last, doesn't mean people didn't like it or even discovered it without ending up giving it points. Like Eyes' country Séyetana and Syndare. Really? You should definitely check out some of the Eurovision songs out there at the moment, there are some amazing and listening worthy songs this year. For starters, try out Toojis' 'Stay' and/or Ditte Maries' 'Overflow' - you'll probably like them tbh! :o Thank you for replying again! ^_^ I have some more time to spare this week, so expect my review of your chart before the end of the week!

I actually found it just before you confirmed it, but if you hadn't sent it, I probably wouldn't have charted it now! :o Hello.. Usfland!? ^_^ Thanks for replying to my chart, and I'm still a bit surprised you gave Belanova points! I'm glad it seems to be a discovery for you! :D A lot of songs you like this month as well. Very good! Hello Batidas! :D @7 - Hehe, I did indeed properly rediscover that song through you sending it to the contest, so thank you for that  It was a very strong contest, I agree. I would be happy voting for about 90% of all the songs, and I had a real struggle deciding my points :drama: But that's a magnificent thing, so I won't complain! :cheer:
