  1. No. I will do no such thing  It wouldn't be exciting if I did -_- :D
  2. Okay, then. I think I shall split the results. I will present SIX of the qualifying countries before MF/MGP, starting from 6:30 PM. I will then be revealing some countries at random throughout MF/MGP to have some form of interesting activity going on in here, and continue with the results full non-stop until finished from around 8:30 PM. Sounds good?
  3. Well.. I still stand by this, and I don't think there's much else to say about the matter, really. So we'll see what they have to say when they get back. But I have to start preparing now :drama: Now, what do you guys think about when is the best time to start the results? :D
  4. It would be a shame if theoretically someone DNQ's because I let someone else vote 9/10/11 hours passed the deadline. It wouldn't be fair. They have had plenty of time to vote, there is even a recap there if they're is short on time as well. And if they knew they were going to be busy, then they should make use of that or at least say something. Obviously I'd be more lenient if there was - like Phil just said - genuin and extenuating circumstances. Hmm.. would you guys even care if you hated their song choices?
  5. I JUST thought of this :drama: You're right, and MGP is scheduled around that times as well. How about if I present some of the qualifiers at 6:30 PM and then take a break until after MGP and Melodifestivalen is finished? Or would it be best to do everything post MGP/Melodifestivalen?
  6. I did send him a reminder, yes. Well.. I MIGHT, if he has a good excuse. I don't feel comfortable with breaking my own rule out of principle and it wouldn't be fair to the other participants if for instance his votes changes things significantly for himself or others.
  7. The deadline has now passed, and we see People's Republic of Jester and Republic of Sass failing to vote in semi final 1. In semi final 2, Persephonia was the only one who neglected to vote :nocheer: I'm quite pleased with the results, actually! It's going to be a REALLY exciting final! :w00t: Tomorrow (saturday) evening at around 7:30 PM :cheer:
  8. Yes, they will :D I haven't been able to prepare as much as I'd like to for the semi final results as naturally I can't be sure of the results before everyone has voted. So I'm going to do most of the preparations tomorrow and an estimated results time would be at around 7:30 PM :cheer:
  9. Those who didn't get one, said they'd vote. And you were just one of them :D I could send you one now if you like? :kink:
  10. I have sent out a few voting reminders now. I hope everyone votes! :D There are also a song in BOTH semi finals now above 100 points :o
  11. OMG, one nation has now accumulated 100 points! :w00t: I won't say in which semi, but 14 nations has voted in each semi and in the other semi the leading song has 81 points! And in semi 2 there is ONE point seperating a DNQ from a qualifier :o No nations are on 0 points as well, which is nice to see ^_^
  12. I heard... :( Hmm.. yeah it has that same "let's drink together and have fun" type style to it :P
  13. Still, it's interesting. People have chosen to watch it even with the "BJSC XLI - Semi Final 1" title! I wonder if anyone (based on the recap) has youtubed/researched any of the tracks in there to listen to it in full :o
  14. WOW, my recap video of BJSC XLI - Semi Final 1 has gotten 297 views! It's.. incredible! :o And the viewers are from 24 different countries, most of them from Norway who might've seen the video just because of Tone Damli :o

Great show! :cheer: Overall I'm quite happy with what won each of the respective awards (even most of those I didn't vote for myself). Except Best entry. That should've gone to Elisabeth Carew! With one of the best pop songs of 2011! I think BJSC awards is important for us to have. It's a great opportunity to celebrate BJSC and honour certain entries or nations who undoubtedly deserves it. This awards also makes me feel a lot more motivated for the next, new year of BJSC  Oh and I also wonder if there is a possibility to expand the awards to include new awards as well? Like best flag, national thread, host or european/latin american entry (to include the likes of Belanova and Frida Gold, for instance). Just throwing it out there! ^_^ I'm really glad three people loved 1000 ships enough to vote for it in this category  I honestly coudn't believe my eyes when I saw this at first. I genuinely wonder who voted for me and why, but at the same time I'm quite grateful. I have been trying my best and worked hard to find and select my entries, but there's something about my 2011 results which makes me feel I haven't improved that much. Thanks, anyway! That was just embarrassing  I'm going to try to send different kinds of artists/songs as I've always done, though :magic:
  16. OMG indeed  This is going to be fantastic! :D
  17. TOP 100 - 90 http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af169/Greenfroze/END%20OF%20YEAR%20CHART/AleksanderWith-Satellites.jpg 100 – Aleksander With – Satellites (#7) The top 100 starts with a norwegian Idol winner of 2006. Aleksander With finally came back with decent solo material in 2010 with Pictures and a new single in 2011 with Satellites. Both very good songs, and a lot more than I expected from him, tbh. He seems to have worked hard on trying to find his own way of music and I think he's managed to pull it off. Satellites is a midtempo pop song with a bit of Coldplay and a bit of Jónsi. Which is a decent comparison, methinks. That chorus is beautiful, too! BsedzMT_xNU http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af169/Greenfroze/END%20OF%20YEAR%20CHART/ElizavetaDreamer.png 99 – Elizaveta – Dreamer (#4) Thanks to the country of Elëdan in BJSC I discovered this interesting track with quirky verses, varied structure, vocal rythms and a nicely sung, sophisticated chorus. I gave it 8 points, I think. Definitely worth them points. http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af169/Greenfroze/END%20OF%20YEAR%20CHART/JessieJfeatBoBPricetag.jpg 98 – Jessie J feat. B.o.B – Price tag (#2) The artist hailed as the sound of 2011. I LOVED 'Do it like a dude', mostly because it was so fresh and I thought Jessie J seemed so cool. I found out that she had been working as a songwriter to other artists for a long time before she started using her own material. This was her second single, I think, which I really liked as well. It was not as interesting and fresh as 'Do it like a dude' but it's a great, easy-to-listen-to pop song with a nice music video (she has a fun personality!) well deserved of some success. http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af169/Greenfroze/END%20OF%20YEAR%20CHART/The_AIUCPU.jpg 97 – The_AIU – CPU (#9) J0CQaCmEwsE&ob=av2e Another BJSC entry, this time sent by Numayania. I gave this song my biggest 12 points and with good reason. It's so dreamy and pleasant, almost soothing in a way. I enjoy her voice as well and I quite liked the production. So beautiful and simple, but with a lot of depth to it. Compelling! http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af169/Greenfroze/END%20OF%20YEAR%20CHART/HyunaBubblepop.jpg 96 – HyunA – Bubble pop! (#6) Shameless, fun, flirtatious, bubblegum K-POP? PERFECT! :D http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af169/Greenfroze/END%20OF%20YEAR%20CHART/BlackCards-Dominoes.jpg 95 – Black Cards – Dominoes (#7) I initally sent Black Cards to BJSC at the end of 2010, which is when I first discovered them. Pete Wentz from Fall out boy started working on a new project to express new sides of himself and what he can do. I must admit I don't know that much about Fall out boy's music, but I can say that I'm a fan of Black Cards. I've been waiting for their album to be released (it should have been out by now), but in the meantime I have enjoyed this great, experimental electropop track with a light summer breeze to it. Recommended! :D mbcJnrUyF1U http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af169/Greenfroze/END%20OF%20YEAR%20CHART/JohnnyHammer.jpg 94 – Technopraise feat. Johnny Hammer – Mary did you know (#5) 77ZfKaP6I3I A christian technopop production sung by a prepubecent boy. I don't know, but I really like the track. I'm not christian, but I can appreciate the lyrics in that sense, and I don't think he sings that bad, I like his voice, it's so innocent, but still with a lot of heart to it. The phrase "Mary did you know" always gets stuck to my head everytime I hear this as well. I find it beautiful, catchy and endearing! http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af169/Greenfroze/END%20OF%20YEAR%20CHART/GirlsGenerationMrTaxi.png 93 – Girl’s Generation – Mr. Taxi (3) Probably my favourite song from Girl's Generations. I haven't heard THAT many by them, but I think this the catchiest for me. I've also just been listening to the japanese version, but I don't feel like listening to any other versions now. Japanese is my preferred asian language, and I think it suits this song nicely. "MR. TAXI TAXI TAXI SOUTOU JEUKSHI JEUKSHI JEUKSHI!" http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af169/Greenfroze/END%20OF%20YEAR%20CHART/Sistar-Howdareyou.jpg 92 – Sistar – How dare you (#2) DQ1hvB_L30o Sistar has two fantastic K-POP songs and because of that - AND because I love their characteristics and personality - have the potential to be one of my favourite korean girl groups out there. This is not their best song, but it's REALLY good. The entertaining music video shows how fabulous the group is, and a bunch of high quality energy bursts out in every dance move :yahoo: http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af169/Greenfroze/END%20OF%20YEAR%20CHART/HerMajestyTheWolves.jpg 91 – Her Majesty and The Wolves – Goodbye, goodnight (#6) mVBvt7kVwnA I sent this song to a spin-off in BJSC, but didn't reach the final. Which is a shame as I think this is an interesting dance/pop song. The production is a bit MUCH, but it's all a part of the charm. The high energy level should make it difficult to enjoy, but strangely has the opposite effect. Quite cool and dancey, and I WAS heavily hooked on it at the time. http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af169/Greenfroze/END%20OF%20YEAR%20CHART/Keha-Blow.png 90 - Ke$ha - Blow (3) Ke$ha is a trash pop goddess! She is most probably my favourite female electropop artist in the world and I LOVED her debut album. She hasn't released anything new since then apart from this stutter masterpiece. I wish she'd just release a new album already. I miss being high on Ke$ha! :D
  18. iTunes update! Plumbo is #2, Tommy Fredvang #22, Nora #40, Minnie-Oh #75 and Malin #97! Glad to see Minnie-Oh doing better than Malin :D I'm missing Rikke Normann and Rikke Lie here, though :(

:D I saw your reply to my review, but I figured it was too late to answer back when your new chart was due close afterwards :drama: I still want to respond, though, so expect that with my next review of your chart ^_^ @15 - Glad you discovered something more from her. Needless to say, the album is quite good. @3 - I understand your position. It's great that you're starting to like music in foreign languages a lot more than before, as after all it's A LOT of non-english music out there worth listening to  That was the song I failed to qualify with over at NSC :drama: But I agree. Very Kylie, and very elegantly bubblegummy decent :D

Good day Oricon! ^_^ What did you think of my entry? It is a bit of a risk given the language, but other than that I think it's quite lovely  I'm really getting dizzy by all those play counts. Still can't believe it :drama: Haha, so great! :D :heehee: Ugh that's probably the only Disney song I don't like at all :drama: -------------- @2 - Le Kid has to be my favourite pop band ever, and this is up there with my favourite songs from them  @3 - It's good, but it has so much more energy to consume in the chorus than Roly Poly and the verses aren't as good to make me feel like listening to it like I did with Roly Poly :drama: Still good, though. @4 - I'm not sure if you will like it, either. But you never know, so when I can reveal it you should have a quick listen just in case :o @8 - Haha! You're right, it can seem that way. But truth is a lot of songs never even get to four weeks in my chart, and in rare occurences songs are able to chart longer than that. But my way of listening and charting is different from others. Four weeks in my chart is amazing :w00t: So is getting top 10, tbf. Still, a bit funny to call it a curse! You're mean :heehee: @13 - I think so too. There's something very okay about it, but at the same time something is holding it back from being very good. @14 - Ooh, what blog is that? :o @16 - Thanks, I changed it now! ^_^ Thank you for replying! :D

Do you think Belanova is THAT bad? :drama:
  23. I failed to qualify over at NSC, btw. That makes it two times in a row now :drama: That's actually quite interesting. Every time I do well in NSC I manage to fail here and vica versa :( I did amazingly well in NSC in 2011 when I DNQ'ed several times in a row here, for instance. I did win there and two other contests got a 4th and a 7th place. In 2010 my BJSC year went fantastically good, but I failed a lot in NSC :nocheer: I prefer to do better here, though. Also, everytime Jerick qualifies, I fail to qualify - and vice versa. Except one time (where I PQ'ed) it's ALWAYS happened! Must be fate :drama:
  24. Five votes counted in semi 2 (including mine), and only two countries has no points :o
