That's not a bad list of songs. You couldn't go anywhere without hearing I Kissed a Girl being played. It was definitely the highlight of 2008 and quite controversial at the time. Not that it bothered me. I didn't know The Verve made a comeback! 😯 5 Years Time is a guilty pleasure of mine. It has that quaint, British, summery feel to it.

Does anyone remember this from an artist called Little Nikki? I remember discovering this song on YouTube and I liked it. I have just found that it only reached #53 in the charts in 2013.

Looking at the number 1's of the year 2000, there was a lot of cheap, disposable pop music for teenagers. And, as for Bob the Builder, who the hell bought that?! 😧 My favourites have to be Fragma or Sonique. Not a vintage year I don't think. Even though, I had started getting into music around this time, I was listening to BBC Radio 1 which was playing a much better selection. It's crazy to think I was only 7 years old in the year 2000. 😱

It was around this time that I had finished sixth form and was getting ready to go to college in September. I miss those days. 😔 I remember all of those songs. Some of them I like and some I don't care about. There are a few that sound very 2010 and haven't aged well, like "Missing You" and "In My System". The song that stands out the most in that list has to be "Pack Up" by Eliza Doolittle. It's a guilty pleasure of mine.

I heard them play 'Gossip' on BBC Radio 1 yesterday. I had to stop what I was doing and listen. I love everything about it. The guitar riffs, the beat and the bassline.

@lewistgreen KISS does not post the full playlist on their website and they stopped putting new additions up on their Twitter page a few years ago. I check the recently played songs on Rayo once a week for new additions.

They don't often playlist the Weekend Anthems. It would be nice if KISS played more new stuff.

Absolutely. Skye Newman deserves to go to No.1 even just for 1 week. I don't understand the hype of Alex Warren and why his song warrants a No.1 spot for 5 months.

I had to listen hard to make sure it was actually Mariah. The vocals don't sound anything like her. Either her voice has really deepened over the years or they have used lots of autotune.

This song is epic. The bassline, 90s organ and smooth vocals. Perfect for summer. As soon as I heard this song, I put it straight onto my Spotify playlist.

I can't stop listening to 'Headphones On'. It's such a beautiful song. I agree with what other people have said on here that it sounds like 90's Janet Jackson or Björk. That's always a positive in my book. I think Addison Rae has to be one of the best artists of the 2020s. There's something about her that stands out amongst the other female stars like Tate McRae and Sabrina Carpenter.

Is it just me or do Ariana Grande's singles sound just like a repeat of what she's done before? 'twilight zone' sounds like 'we can't be friends'. 'boyfriend', 'thank u, next' and '34+35' sound exactly the same but the latter is in a different key. She's got a great voice but I don't understand the hype.
