UnMODern Rob

By GORDON SMART, Showbiz Editor Published: 04th February 2013

ROBBIE WILLIAMS says he fell out with OASIS in the Nineties because he wasn’t “mod” enough.

He said LIAM and NOEL GALLAGHER just suddenly stopped knocking about with him.

Liam befriended Robbie after he left TAKE THAT but it was shortlived.

Matters came to head when Robbie stormed the stage at Glastonbury during the band’s set. Noel quickly had him removed.

Robbie said: “Lad culture was a massive, massive thing. I love Oasis. I was a big fan of their music, vibe and energy.

“I happened to know them and knock about with them for a little while. I don’t think I was their cup of tea.

"At the time I think the exact words were ‘I’m not mod’, so I was sort of mates with them for a bit, then I didn’t gel with them, so we stopped hanging out, simple as that.

“Liam’s voice was the voice of a generation and Noel seemed to be writing the songs of a generation. They were our Beatles for around 18 months.

“It was very, very exciting, high-octane stuff with various substances being taken left, right and centre, models, late night rock ’n’ roll – all good fun!”

That’s all behind Robbie now, seeing as he’s a married man with a four-month-old nipper TEDDY ROSE.

Back in the day they would still be going as you read this...

Robbie's song makes daughter sick

Published on Monday 11 February 2013 20:23

Robbie Williams has written his first song for his young daughter Teddy - but admits it made her throw up.

The singer said he is now considering releasing the track which he performed for the tot, who is almost five months old, when he took her for a walk.

Robbie, who turns 39 on Wednesday, also revealed he has lost almost 11kg in the space of five weeks after changing his diet because he says he was resembling former strongman and shot-putter Geoff Capes.

Writing on his blog, he said: "So I went on a diet - knocked out sugar (processed) and dairy. Lost 24 pounds in five weeks.

"I was looking like Geoff Capes after the Christmas run, and seeing as 40 is just around the corner... it's time to go all yoga and lentils, or who knows where it could all end."

Robbie became a father for the first time when his wife Ayda Field gave birth to Theodora in September.

Speaking of the song he has written, he said: "TEDDY GOT HER FIRST SONG. It's called Go Gentle. It might be called something else by the time it comes out.

"I sang it to her yesterday as we walked around the estate. She was in a papoose so she was a captive audience. I think she liked it, then she threw up - tough room."

Robbie, who will tour his Take The Crown album in the summer, said he had also been working on another "big project", and said "very excited about what's to come". The singer has been reported to be be working on a new swing album, to follow his 2001 release Swing When You're Winning.

He also talked about how he had been working with his former songwriting partner Guy Chambers "for the first time in many years". "Funnily enough we're a good team. What a treat - I luvs him," Robbie added. The pair split a decade ago after working together for many years, but have since patched things up.

Robbie Williams Fears For Justin Bieber's Future: It's Inevitable That He'll Hit A Hard Time

Robbie has said that there's a 'list of f*** ups' in terms of young teen stars

Robbie Williams has opened up about his fears for teen pop sensation Justin Bieber, saying that it's inevitable that Biebs will eventually "hit a hard time" after dealing with the stresses of fame.

Being in a band from a young age himself, Robbie knows of the obstacles that lie ahead for young stars like the 'Boyfriend' singer.

Robbie, 39, told The Sun, “There is a list longer than my arm of f***-ups."

“It’s inevitable that someone like Justin Bieber will hit a hard time," he contined. "You hear about everybody going, ‘You’re sh**’. And you go ‘f***, I’m sh**, I’d better go and do something else’. And it gets to you.”

The young singer has recently found himself hitting the headlines, with allegations that he had been 'smoking pot' and 'dabbling with codeine'.

Justin isn't the only teen star that Robbie has offered some words of wisdom to, with him opening up to curly haired heart-throb Harry Stles, saying that he could steal his crown.

The 'Rock DJ' singer previously told the Metro: "I'm also coming to terms with becoming an aging popstar. I remember seeing George Michael, who's ten years older and thinking: 'There's a vacancy there.' So there must be a Harry Styles looking at me going: 'He's over the hill now'."

Robbie has also dealt with the hectic showbiz world from an early age (Photo: WENN)

And he admits that he definitely sees some comparisons between the showbiz pair, telling ShortList that he was jealous of the lad's antics.

"I see Harry through bitter-getting-old-and- married-and-can’t-do-all-of-that-any-more eyes," he said.

"Also, I’ve got a lot of love for him and One Direction. On the pie chart, the love outweighs the bitterness - but the bitterness is in there too."

Yep, I read somewhere that it is £7 in Sainsburys, I think you have to spend £30 though to get it at that price
That's good value though if you were doing your weekly shop anyway B-)
If it wasn't for her music I'd actually quite like Adele. She seems fun. ^_^

'He's An Amazing Man': Olly Murs Gushes About Robbie Williams Before Tour

Olly also believes he's the 'perfect choice'

Olly Murs and Robbie Williams have clearly built up a strong friendship, with the Xtra Factor claiming he is the perfect choice to support the Robster on his upcoming stadium tour.

The 'Troublemaker' singer will be supporting Robbie on his upcoming tour this summer, and Olly reveals his excitement at touring Europe with the Take That star whom he has described as "an amazing man."

The 'Dance With Me Tonight' singer told to The Daily Star: "This is the perfect time for me to do stadiums.

"Now I feel I can stand up there with Robbie, and I am the right guy to support him. What he said about me in the press conference to announce the tour was amazing. He said he sees a lot of me in him - and I see a lot of me in him, too."

“He always joked on The X Factor how I had no worries before I go on stage, which is true. He's an amazing man.”

Olly is up for 'British Male' and 'British Single' for his number one smash 'Troublemaker' at this year's BRIT Awards, and said he is stunned that Williams is only up for 'British Single.'

He said: “Robbie’s won the British Male award before and maybe when people were voting they wanted to put five people in the list who hadn’t.”

The BRIT Awards takes place tomorrow at London's O2 Arena, with James Corden hosting the event.

Security guard accused of stealing Robbie Williams microphone walks free

2:00pm Friday 22nd February 2013 in News By Lauren May, Reporter

A security guard accused of stealing a microphone set to be used by Robbie Williams has walked free after his trial collapsed.

Oliver Davis, 48, of New Barns Avenue, Mitcham, was due to stand trial over allegations he stole a £4,000 Beyer Strässer M800 microphone set to be used by Robbie Williams at a Royal Variety Performance at the Royal Albert Hall last year.

He had been working as a security guard at the time and had been on the job for just two days.

Mr Davis said he had taken the microphone, which was eventually recovered in a good condition, because he thought it was broken and would be thrown away.

Rastafarian Davis arrived for his trial at the City of London Magistrates Court yesterday, (February, 21) but because the Crown Prosecution Service had failed to produce existing CCTV evidence of the incident for the trial, the case was dismissed leading prosecutors to be accused of "total incompetence" by the chairman of the bench, Penny Hatfield.

Mr Davis was seen to smile, look up and put his hands together when he realised his case would be thrown out.

Speaking to the prosecutor Miss Ann Abel, the chairman of the bench, Penny Hatfield, said: "This is really completely unsatisfactory.

"This is no way for the CPS to conduct their businesses.

"We accept it’s not your fault but you are the unfortunately person who is in court and has to bear the brunt of that but please take it back.

"The bench is dissatisfied."

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showb...ging-panel.html

TV bosses are secretly plotting to get Robbie Williams to join Gary Barlow on X Factor.

And they reckon having the Take That pals on the judging panel will provide the “fireworks” missing from last year’s show.

A well-placed source said: “This is the dream team. We have been looking at the show and thinking the unthinkable.

“Robbie is exactly the right person for the show — but we don’t want to lose Gary to get him. We want them both.

“Robbie’s people are saying he is too busy to do the show.

But we worked around Gary when he first joined the panel and he was touring with Take That and it was fine. We know Robbie loves the show and he and Gary have a great friendship and rivalry — there will be fireworks for sure.”

The pair famously fell out when Robbie quit Take That in the mid-Nineties — leading to the break-up of the chart-topping band.

They patched up their relationship after the band reformed in 2006, with Robbie rejoining his old pals three years ago.

If bosses do manage to pit Robbie and Gary against one another on the panel it may NOT mean the end of fellow judge Louis Walsh.

Producers are said to be “relaxed” about having three men on the panel and Louis is said to be days away from signing a new £750,000 deal.

The fourth spot is set to be given again to Nicole Scherzinger.

The source added: “Louis’s future is as up in the air as it has been in any other year — but if Robbie and Gary do sign it will not necessarily mean curtains for him.

“The producers are relaxed about the gender make up of the panel. It is all about having big personalities.”

Tulisa Contostavlos has been widely tipped for the chop, but has not been told either way, giving her some hope she could return.

And former judge Sharon Osbourne has also been tipped for a comeback

He'd be brilliant on the X-Factor but I just can't see it happening. :(

Robbie Williams wants to add to his brood

01 March 2013

Robbie Williams has said he is hoping to become a dad for the second time very soon.

The Candy singer and wife Ayda welcomed daughter Theodora in September, but Robbie has admitted they already want to add to their brood, reported The Sun.

Speaking on Alan Carr's Chatty Man show, Robbie, 39, said he and Ayda are busy "practising" for a sibling for their little girl.

He said: "My little girl is wonderful. Little Teddy. We are going to do more of them because they are amazing."

However, if Robbie and Ayda do have another baby, it might well arrive Stateside - as the star confessed he was getting fed up with the cold, wet weather in the UK.

Robbie, who has split his time between the US and the UK in recent years, said: "My wife FaceTimed me... she was in a T-shirt on a beach in Malibu and I was in Belsize Park and I went, 'I know where I'd rather be'."

According to Večernji List, he sold 4,000 tickets in the first hour and 10,000 in two days for the concert in Zagreb, Croatia.

edit: I know this is not the kind of news you post in this thread but considering the circumstances (FIRST ever visit to Croatia), it deserves to be in THE RW news B-)
