Posted November 30, 200916 yr Susan Boyle looks set to spend a second week at number one on the albums chart, after selling another 81,000 copies of her debut album I Dreamed A Dream (Syco) yesterday. The sales dwarf those of her nearest competitors, both of which are new releases: Westlife’s new album Where We Are (S) is currently Boyle’s closest rival, with sales of almost 50,000 yesterday, while Take That’s The Greatest Day – The Circus Live (Polydor) sold more than 40,000. There are also set to be new entries in or around the albums top twenty from Coldstream Guards Band, with Heroes (Decca); Andrea Bocelli, with My Christmas (Decca / Sugar), and Rhydian, with O Fortuna (Syco). The Pope, however, fares less well: Music From The Vatican’s Alma Mater (which features the voice of Pope Benedict and is released by Geffen) looks set to miss out on a top forty debut, as do Seal’s Hits (Warner Bros) and Hayley Westenra’s Winter Magic (Decca). On the singles charts, Peter Kay’s Official BBC Children In Need Medley (Epic) should spend a second week at number one, with Rihanna’s Russian Roulette (Def Jam) its closest competitor. New entries are rather thin on the ground in the singles chart, however, with Alicia Keys’ Doesn’t Mean Anything (J) likely to be the highest, although it looks unlikely to make the top twenty. December 1, 200916 yr Happy Advent everyone - christmas is approaching! YAH! My predictions: 1. Rihanna 2. Peter Kay 3. Lady Gaga 4. X Factor 5. Black Eyed Peas 8. Cheryl I haven't got the foggiest with albums, but Westlife will probably be #2 and i reckon Leona could be dangerously close to slipping out the top 10
December 1, 200916 yr I'd say: Singles 01 Peter Kay 02 Rihanna 03 Black Eyed Peas 04 X Factor 05 Lady GaGa Albums 01 Susan Boyle 02 Westlife 03 Take That 04 JLS 05 Black Eyed Peas I guess Rated R will gain a few places and should be top 10. Edited December 1, 200916 yr by French Kiss
