The show and setlist looks good (bar the exclusion of White Lies - booo!), but it looks more like a theatre tour set. I know they wouldn't have had a huge budget to put on a show like Rihanna, Gaga or Katy etc but still.. I thought the set would look a bit more advanced and bigger. It looks a bit basic for an arena.
And I'd have LOVED those firework/spark thingys that shoot up into the air from the stage for when the lift started lowering down after the intro VT, and again once the lift had landed on the stage just as Frankie and Vanessa opened the lift doors, just before Mollie started singing her first line... and for the revolving circle on the catwalk to lift them up This post has been edited by Encore: 3rd December 2011, 03:52 PM |

Encore, it was full last night at Bournemouth judging by tweets, just remember that this was their smallest Arena tour venue... It will only get better and bigger. I can't believe how much these girls are doing! They have Capital Jingle as well on Sunday!

Anyone know if they kept the original 'Up' choreography?

^ No it wasn't lol. Her vocals were still dodgy. The harmonies sounded fantastic though but Vanessa's vocals really kill it. Ego was absolutely shocking and they shouldn't have done Winter Wonderland considering how phenomenal her voice was back then. It really is a shame what's happened to her voice. I do love the set though and the outfits. The hooded jumpers reminded me of "Something kinda oooh" from I think the Tangled Up Tour (Girls Aloud). Everything is brilliant besides Vanessa's voice. Rochelle's vocals on "Promise Me" were smashingg as well.

Rochelle is the best and most consistent singer in The Saturdays. Easy.

I am absolutely outraged that they're not singing White Lies yet they're singing some of the other crap from the album!!
I may not go, just out of protest! |

I think they should have done a medley of For Myself & Promise Me, I think that would work well, and give a little more room on the set list for White Lies. You'd have thought they would have put it in at the last minute after hearing the feedback, as almost everyone has put it in their top 3 on the album, me included!!!!!
I REALLY wish I was going to tonights or Fridays show, but I didn't have the money to buy tickets! |

They won't be able to recreate the sound of White Lies vocally, shame as it's one of their better songs.
Looking at their album sales... Will the arenas be half empty? |

I really can't believe Vanessa's vocals now, the middle 8 of 'Ego' was just... I've just commented about this on PopJustice. It may be an un-popular observation, but are they using live auto-tune? As soon as I watched Notorious, (Una's verse in particular) it all sounds really processed. 'Vanessa's f*** up quite honestly sounded like an auto-tune malfunction. The pitch goes down really low in one point in particular. The point is she does the end ad-lib fine ("realities a simple place") which is on-par the highest note in the middle 8 yet 'she' f***s up on the notes that are lower down. It doesn't make sense. |

It may be an un-popular observation, but are they using live auto-tune? I'm not sure. The comments on the performance of 'Ego' had a lot of people saying they were using live auto-tune. I can't say if they have or not though, it's very hard to tell through low-quality footage. |

I can't say if they have or not though, it's very hard to tell through low-quality footage. It seems highly unlikely that Vanessa would lose it halfway through the show though when she sang everything else perfectly fine. The pitch on her wobbly bit was all over the shop. It's most likely an auto-tune malfunction. Nearly every note they sing just sounds so empty and monotone. They don't even need it! |

After listening to most of the clips (Can't face listening to Ego after everyones comments on Vanessa's voice) I've got to say that Mollie has really improved!!! When I remember the performances of Work I remember cringing a little and being relieved when she'd finished, but now she sounds SOOOOO much better! Although, she isn't the best singer, I think she is the most consistant from these clips. Rochelle is also really good live, as always! Mochelle

How can any of us evaluate their vocal performance when they're using live auto-tune? You can't.

On a brighter note, there was a picture taken from the stage tonight (during the support acts) and the arena looked pretty full besides seats at the top tier at the very back.
