Posted September 23, 201311 yr Just thought there needs to be a separate thread for this since s02e01 aired in Denmark and Sweden last night! SO unbelievably excited for this. Edited January 28, 20187 yr by ionderella
September 23, 201311 yr The teasers looks excellent and makes me even more excited for Nordic Season! The plot is interesting enough so I hope it remains consistent. I'm hoping Martin becomes a lot more likeable because I felt he was a bit cold in the first season, especially towards August (rip </3). Saga looks like she'll be amazing as per! On a slightly related note, BBC4 have also bought Torka aldrig tårar utan handskar and that will air later in the autumn as well. I don't care if I've watched the series about five times... :D
September 23, 201311 yr Martin wasn't cold towards August. He was doing his best but August was a brat by and large.
September 23, 201311 yr I don't mean cold as in 'harsh' but more 'closed', although it worked both ways.
September 23, 201311 yr Author Watched s02e01. Holy SHIT. It started rather slow with the aftermath of the last season's finale and all but by the end things got much more interesting and exciting. All (at least for now haha) the seemingly random characters get linked by the end of the first episode already. And there's a lesbian~~~~ storyline! <3
September 27, 201311 yr Loved this new episode. Exactly what it was meant to be giving the big emotional load of last season's finale. And creepily enough when I was in Malmö there was a boat (no, not a ship) sunk by the bridge! https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=682849...099487341652060
October 2, 201311 yr Author AMAZING second episode. SO much happened! The episodes seriously feel like they are at least the Sherlock length and not 57 mins! (I'm also pretty impressed with myself understanding Danish and Swedish speech with the help of Swedish subtitles so well haha)
October 25, 201311 yr Author How many remakes of this are there?! Just realised The Tunnel is actually the carbon copy of Bron!
October 25, 201311 yr Not carbon. Charlotte and Alain is a different storyline, also they introduced the journalist in a different manner AND the whole maintenance truck/dead dude Haven't seen the second episode yet but I was a little disappointed with the first because of how ridiculously similar it was. I was hoping that they would take the premise of it being a murder on the Point Median of the Chunnel with a Frog and a Brit and just run with it from there. What did really annoy me was that the dialogue was literally just a translation of the original save for a couple of lines here and there to take into account that it was shorter and the spoilery bit above.
October 25, 201311 yr The other remake is the utterly implausible US/Mexico remake. That's the most patrolled border in the bloody world as if someone could just dump a body across it. AND as if they'd get a body on a bridge. It'd be patrolled at either end by border patrols and you wouldn't get to sit in no mans land for long enough to dump a body. I just can't deal with the implausibilities.
November 29, 201311 yr Author Rewened for season 3! http://www.nrk.no/kultur/saga-noren-forand...ng-3-1.11373525 Expected in 2015. I think the article contains spoilers or massive hints to what is happening in season 2 so don't read it lolz
November 29, 201311 yr Fantastic news!!! Really looking forward to Season2 appearing with English subs.
November 29, 201311 yr Has anyone been watching The Tunnel? I haven't got Sky Atlantic so I can't see it but the DVD is out in January.
November 29, 201311 yr I couldn't go back to it after the first episode. It comes up well short against Bron/Broen.
January 6, 201411 yr Caught up with the first 2 episodes today and WOW, I'm craving more already. I was worried it wouldn't be as good as the first series but I was so wrong, really looking forward to how the storyline develops. Saga Norén *.*
February 5, 201411 yr By far and away the best thing on television. Watched the final two episodes at the weekend and it was SO SO GOOD. Literally in tears when Pernille was just waiting to die. Sofia and Kim were on BBC Breakfast last week as well. ZKkXLB09h3w So excited for series 3, I wonder if we'll ever find out who shot Gertrud?
