Posted September 23, 201311 yr Following months of internal political turmoil, the areas covering the kingdom from Havilli to Portsdamma will now be known as the Former Scruvovnian Republic of Allecian, but in all international events, simply as Allecian. President Lorona Shkavill at a press conference today claimed that she had no knowledge that her country had been named Scruvovnia for so long, attributing her ignorance to an extended opium induced coma. Allecian is, however, to keep it's new yellow and purple flag. (so yeah, Scruvovnia hasn't exactly been a FIERCE re-brand like I was hoping it'd be, lets pretend this never happened) Contest Record (BJSC V-XIII: The Cheap Years) V: Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit (12th) VI: Infant Sorrow - Inside of You(27th) VII: Mel C - Carolyna(26th) VIII: KT Tunstall - Other Side of the World(27th) IX: LeAnn Rimes - Nothing Better To Do(DNQ) X: Saturdays - Up(3rd) -PERSONAL BEST- XI: Kate Winslet - What If(DNQ) XII: Kellie Pickler - I Wonder(DNQ) XIII: Aleesha Dixon - Breathe Slow(8th) (BJSC XXXV- :The Post Break Years) XXXV: Aleesia - Life of the Party(21st) XXXVI: Bright Light Bright Light - Disco Moment(10th) XXXVII: Breanne Düren - Daydreams (Owl City Remix)(DNQ) XXXVIII: Simon Curtis - Flesh (14th) XXXIX: Ask Embla - Ein (4th) -POST BREAK PERSONAL BEST- XL: WooWoos - Fizzy Lettuce (23rd) XLI: Mercedes & I - Wintersnow (21st) XLII: Graph Gonzales - Eyes In The Dark(24th) XLIII: Bright Light Bright Light - Waiting For The Feeling (20th) XLIV: Jamie McDell - You'll Never Take That Away (DNQ) XLV: Diandra Flores - Onko Marsissa Lunta? October 5, 201311 yr Ah so it was you who sent her then! Did you like the first album material? Other Too Endless remains one of my favourite songs of the past decade...
October 5, 201311 yr Author The first album is rather fabulous yes, I'm taking your approval as a good sign!
October 5, 201311 yr I can't say I like her new stuff quite as much as I liked her older tracks but, yes, it's very likely to be in contention for points from me...
March 22, 201411 yr Author In memorial to Allecian's continued flopage in BJSC, we present our 36th Entry: Sabina Ddumba's 'Scarred For Life' DnyhC30ATGM
March 22, 201411 yr i absolutely ADORE this were you aware she is the one singing the backing vocals on 'walking on air' by katy perry?
March 22, 201411 yr Author I was not! Listening to 'Walking On Air' alongside this I can kinda hear the similarities in her voice now.
April 15, 201411 yr Author NEWS UPDATE: Allecian's BJSC commitee are now celebrating an exceedingly succesful two evenings of results. Sunday Evening saw Cuzzick arena play host to an extremely exciting results show of the deeply fabulous and culturally diverse Foreign Language Spin-Off, wich saw the eventual top two Skall and Eledan lose their podium positions at the last minute due to penalties for failing to submit votes. Surprise winner, Sandeborg's NOAH with the song 'Ekko' was still, however, well recieved by the Allecci audience. Monday evening also saw Sabina Ddumba's track 'Scarred For Life' perform surprisingly well in the 63rd BJSC, held in FARC. After Ddumba's 'surprise' qualification last week, many bookmakers had Allecian right at the bottom of the odds for the contest. In a surprise reversal of expected fortunes, Sabina shocked through to finish 15th with 87 points. This marks Allecian's highest placing since NERVO's 5th place finish in Aeroche in August 2012. Celebrations in Cuzzick Square are reportedly still ongoing.
