Welcome to the voting stage of BuzzJack Nuggets.

 

Below are the seventeen tracks submitted over the past week. I have been informed that one or two have slipped through the rules net. It's up to voters how they want to proceed - if you feel that a band is too well known then feel free to vote them down - or otherwise. :D

 

I sent out an MP3 pack last night. If anyone has not received it, could they let me know.

If any non-participant would like to vote, then also let me know.

 

To vote, decide on your favourite ten (not including your own) and send the list - best to worst - to myself, by private message, before Friday 1st November 23:59.

 

You chosen tracks will receive points in the following order

 

1st - 12 points

2nd - 10 points

3rd - 8 points

4th - 7 points

10th - 1 point.

 

There will be a 12 point deduction for non-voting.

 

I'll attempt to do the results either Mon 4th Nov or Tue 5th. Does anyone know if these dates clash with anything more significant happening on BuzzJack?

:o Controversy.. though not as controversial as when System Of A Down blatantly ripped-off the riff from Mogwai's "Summer (Priority Version)" for "Toxicity".

 

I wanted to enter that (Summer that is), but apparently Mogwai have had a Top 40 hit. Who knew?

Everything received okay thanks Tony... weird hearing so many guitars in a Buzzjack contest!

Well all of these songs are rather good so I'm fully prepared to finish last.

Having my first proper listen now. Some good stuff so far

I have not forgotten about this entirely! Will be voting tomorrow most likely.

I still have to go through them a few times before I decide. There's one absolutely brilliant song so far and loads of decent ones.

Will listen to these tomorrow while packing and hopefully get the votes in before i leave yo! otherwise deductions for me :(

I've listened through, and I'll send them to you now. I've found nothing I loved, but some pretty good stuff here nonetheless.

I've only found one track that I love - plus, I'm glad I discovered my own submission too.

It's just nice to like nearly every song here.

Gonna be hard to order them.

I'm going to extend the voting until Sunday night at 23:59. I'll be emailing people who haven't yet voted to make them aware of this change.

Will be voting soon, apologies for the delay - had a busy week last week and have only listened to the songs a few times each so wanted to give them my full attention this weekend.

 

Couple of standouts and a decent overall quality level - shall be difficult to iron out an order that I'm happy with.
