Good result for Celine in the albums, although not exactly close to Eminem! How did Dope get to #8 with such a poor digital sale? Surprised to see Christina on top of the digital sales chart!

From Billboard: ".. fueled most heavily by its No. 1 arrival on Streaming Songs (marking her first leader on the list) with 8.2 million first-week streams; 95% of that sum stems from YouTube (non-VEVO) views of the live video of Gaga performing "Dope" at the YouTube Music Awards on Nov. 3." |

This chart is just ridiculous. And I know it sounds stupid mentioning it because it's been this way for years, so there's no point complaining. But, the most bought song of the week is #16. While the 60th most bought song of the week is #8.
It's just so illogical. |

Crazy that people viewing a live performance can boost something to a top ten debut! I hope no chart rules like this ever transfer to the UK! It's hardly the same as buying or even streaming a song, people are probably just watching it to see what Gaga's up to now on stage, not to actually listen to Dope!

It's hardly the same as buying or even streaming a song, people are probably just watching it to see what Gaga's up to now on stage, not to actually listen to Dope! I'm not sure if people even chose to watch it. I've seen the video of her performance multiple times in Youtube the past week, and I obviously didn't intentionally go and watch it. It just comes up sometimes when I'm trying to watch a different video (although you can skip it after 5 seconds). I think those views must have been counted. It's inconsistent though, since there's other live performances recently with huge Youtube views which didn't get included in the Hot 100. |

Gaga debuting in the Top 10 despite low sales is a perfect example of why including streaming / video views in the chart is a step backwards...

Dope is such a crap song too.
The Christina single should have been top 10 with those sales. Hopefully it'll get its time in the top 10 when the video debuts. It already filmed last week. Beautiful song. Britney, Britney, Britney, that debut is terrible. Get a video out ASAP or skip to another single. If Artpop sells the reported estimate of 260,000, then I'm worried for Britney Jean, considering Femme Fatale sold 270,000. Eeeeek. |

14 13 Florida Georgia Line - Here’s To The Good Times - 28,000 (1,225,000)
39 14 Blake Shelton - Based On A True Story - 20,000 (968,000) A big gap, if this is actually correct.. |
