I have been anticipating her return for a while, would have made a topic if I'd remembered over the excitement.

This still feels very much within her comfort zone, even with a few more production add-ons, which is good, her debut album was pretty excellent! Still very pleased with Cut Your Teeth, I expect to be playing this quite a bit now.

"Walk Through Walls" is amazing, I love this on first listen, I like the build up throughout the track

This song needs more loving! It's wonderfully infectious and I've been trying to get it out of my head since I first listened to it. I hope this is a sign of what her album will be like.

So did anyone else get this then?

I really quite like it, although it has taken a few plays for some of the hooks to begin to sink in. I liked moments of her debut (especially the singles) but this is a better record on the whole for me, at times it's like Kate Bush is singing tracks from the Knife's Deep Cuts.

I did, there's some really nice production on it and her voice is lovely. Much more captivating than her debut (which I liked) for me.
I'm meaning to get this, 'The Knife' is really hitting me right now, and well, half of Ashes is still very essential for me. Will be the next album I download now I've been reminded it's out, and I will report back.
She delayed it for FAR too long, I'd practically forgotten all about it and the hype has certainly all but gone now. It's coming for that Siobhan Donaghy 'Ghosts' style undeserved flop - which actually, is a pretty good comparison sonically also.
On first listen it's a solid album! Really liking it! 'Cut Your Teeth' is just as wonderful as ever!

Just finished listening to it. Nothing quite as strong as the single version of 'Heavy Stone' or 'Vampire Smile' but I wasn't quite expecting that as a) those would be incredibly hard to top after one listen and b) with the electronic direction she's gone they're obviously going to be a bit unfamiliar and those were some of the more folksy songs on Ashes (or not on Ashes in the former's case).

'The Knife', 'I Don't Hate You', 'Get It' and 'Fly' are the highlights and I'm sure I'll grow into the rest of it. Shame it's gone so unnoticed though.
