Chart Commentary

"Good morning everybody, thank you for being here with us on this Friday form the Top 40 Countdown by awardinary!

Let me begin by thanking the following 4 people who viewed and commented on my personal chart last week: JSG, jAddy!, Adam Ora and toffochews. Responses to your comments are in the below post.

This was a busy week with a large clearout of songs from the chart being replaced with recently discovered dance music. It is a non-mover at the top this week for KUU and Zanmatony’s BJSC 132 entry Pleasure Generation sits firmly in second place.

Straight into the Top 10, even the Top 5, on their opening week are two storming electronic songs, one from Sidney Samson, formerly responsible for the UK hit Riverside (Let’s Go) and electronic outfit SWACQ. Both with unique sounds and both which have been played during the week by the chart host here. Mindf*ck is this weeks Track of the Week.

Chicane has entered the Top 10 fold this week with his single Make You Stay whilst Shane Codd departs from the Top 10 after a run of 13 weeks.

Two of the new entries from this week’s selection were entries by other countries in the latest version of the BuzzJack Song Contest. Thelonia and Bøtanikkä are to thank for these marvellous discoveries. Elsewhere this week there are new entries for Shygirl, Above & Beyond, Love N Coda and ZOOO.

ARTY is the biggest climber this week moving up 11 places and Ariana Grande was the biggest faller, dropping 19 places to exit the chart. As well as her, there were also chart departures this week for CamelPhat (twice), Imanbek, Steps (twice), John Summit and Paul Woolford.
