Another 2 great songs from Burial, 'Dark Gethsemane' definitely my fave as well (a gloomy rave anthem *.*), I'm not sure it's quite a song of the year contender like 'Claustro' and 'Chemz' were for 2019 and 2020 respectively but I think it's probably my 3rd fave of his recent sporadic releases after those two!

The other two songs were cool too but being real I was only here for the Burial ones. I pray for him to one day drop another full album rather than just constantly dropping like 1 or 2 songs at a time every now and then before vanishing into the ether again but it's been like 14 years since his last more substantial project so it's probably never happening.

Space Cadet has been added to 6 Music's C List today though I imagine it has been heavily edited

Burial is dropping another new EP called 'Antidawn' on 6/1 - and for the first time in forever it's more than just 1-3 new tracks!! A whole 5 of them. That's probably the closest we're ever going to get to a whole new album from him. laugh.gif

(I didn't think this was particularly needing its own thread given there weren't many posts in the last couple of Burial threads so I'm just posting it here and requesting this be turned into a general Burial thread x)

Out now ~

It's all ambient stuff so no 'Claustro'/'Chemz' style bangers to be found here but a really entrancing listen overall, 'Shadow Paradise' was the standout track on there for me, really nailed the atmosphere heart.gif also really liked 'New Love' and the title track. Loving the use of organ throughout.

New double single Nova / Moth with Four Tet out now. Loving the sound of this a lot more than the Antidawn EP which was a bit too chill for my taste lol.

I'm slightly preferring Nova over Moth. It feels like it's been embedded in my brain for the last 2 days. So hypnotic and beautiful cry.gif Moth is great, but it goes on for too long but then again it's allowed to do that long because Burial x

'Moth' and 'Nova' are actually both like a decade old, just received belated releases on streaming/digital platforms after previously being vinyl exclusive I believe - still, I hadn't heard them before so I'm glad they have resurfaced in a more accessible form to prompt me to listen to them, really enjoying both of them <3 (I think 'Moth' is the better one for me to contrast Kath x)
