A discovery for me via BridgeCow in Unknown Pleasures back in 2019 (may be better known via Jeff also sending them to BJSC with his final entry to date last year, 'Yes I Need My Generator' w/ Turnstile), one of the most consistently high quality acts in electronic music for me so I figure he deserves a long overdue thread in here.
He's dropped 2 releases this year so far. First a 4 track EP 'Steel City Dance Discs Volume 20' from January: and then more recently he dropped another single about a month ago, 'FMG' with Effy (another promising name who I first discovered from a song in Jade's personal chart a while back) 5 for 5 from 2021 releases for me so far, 'FMG' and 'Room Full Of Rothko' being my faves <3 (RFOR was technically dropped as a single in December 2020 but still x) |

^ I said during the listenthrough that X CLUB. song sounded like Mall Grab so that cosign makes sense haha.
Forgot to post 'Love Reigns' in here at the time, not his best song imo but still another tune, need to check out the new one ~ |

Didn't recognise the name at first but could tell straight away when I heard his vocals that Brendan is the singer from Turnstile - good to see them working on more stuff together after Mall Grab's previous remix EP as I have been getting more into Turnstile of late! (Though I'm not surprised that the vocals were a turnoff for r Kath oops)
I'm really liking this song as well anyway (and 'Metaphysical' was a banger too), Mall Grab's no-miss streak continues for me. The music video as well

He dropped another collab with Effy as well last month which wasn't posted yet so here it is, should probably be more to r Kath's taste x

I did like 'Patience' but it is definitely the weakest of the singles for me - there are 3 album tracks that I am stanning in particular from this, 'Intercity Relations' is my fave (we stan a good 'yeah! woo!' sample x) and also really loving 'Without The Sun' and 'I Can Remember It So Vividly' <3 really solid album for me overall, there are a couple of less essential songs towards the end but have saved most of the album to my playlist ~ |

A deluxe version of the album was released this week. It's basically just instrumentals of the vocal tracks + a banging new single 'Tremors'
