Aerial, Kate’s first double album, was released on November 7th 2005 and peaked at No.3 in the UK. It was preceded by the only single from the album, King Of The Mountain, which became one of her highest charting singles peaking at No.4. I grew up with Kate Bush as both my parents are huge fans. My mum bought this CD for my dad Christmas 2005 and it was extremely exciting to hear new Kate Bush after over a decade. It became one of her most critically acclaimed albums and was split into two halves, just like Hounds Of Love. A Sea Of Honey was a series of non related tracks including the single, the song where she recites pi continuously, Bertie-dedicated to her son and the beautiful piano playing of A Coral Room. A Sky Of Honey features a series of tracks that tell the story of a Summer’s day. I love this album, definitely in my top 3 for Kate. I now have my own CD and Vinyl, both with Bertie replacing Rolf Harris, thank goodness. On a sunny morning, I love to play this and it puts me in a great mood. The single: F8xk_AkeP5c
June 6, 20224 yr I haven't listened to this in quite some time, however I remember vastly preferring A Sky of... to A Sea of... although the first disc still has its moments with the single and How To Be Invisible being the obvious two highs.
June 6, 20224 yr Aerial has to be one of the most haunting songs i know... like is she laughing or is it the birds or is she recreating the birds... 2005 to now... i still can't work it out
