I can't say 'Love Game' is a flop: decent sales, and a #21 peak isn't bad, it's just a moderate hit. Besides, it's the forth single from massively-selling album.

Ah yes, sorry i thought it goes without saying that it's my opinion. Of course music taste is opinionated and there is no right or wrong.

 

And no i am not going to make it into an argument. Just being a bit tongue-in-cheek :P I personally just think BHG should be a hit if Get Sexy, NDubz, Taoi etc can be.

Songs only generally sell well with a decent amount of radio play.

 

Leona is something like #500 on overall radio play in the US, therefore her iTunes position is actually something of an achievement rather than a disappointment.

 

The only reason it shot up initially is due to the initial sales surge, followed by 2 promotional appearances - one of America's Got Talent (15 million viewers; very good rating for a US show), and VH1 Divas (1-2 million rating, it is a cable channel therefore doesn't get high ratings).

 

It'll climb as radio play climbs over the next 8 weeks or so (yes, it'll take that long) and will probably (management will be thinking hopefully) peak as her album drops over there.

What? :blink: A peak of 21 is a MAJOR flop by GaGa standards, even if it is a fourth single, her FIFTH singles go TOP 3 everywhere else in the world, LoveGame was huge everywhere else so the UK is like a bump in its perfect line of global success. From three TOP 5 singles in a row to a top 30 single is one major flop and a half LOL.

And who said it'll peak at 21 or in its physical week, GaGa is not some investment girl group. She's a quality artist who can peak in any week she wishes. She's still got ages to come and do some promo for it so it can go top 10. The Fame Monster is only out on November 24th. Which is in 2 MONTHS time. :drama: I still have faith in LoveGame, its just been a busy week of releases the past month so its still got some time! :)
