September 13, 200915 yr Brill read - probably your best ever! But little olf me has to point out a flaw: they will surely be happy with a third top ten hit at number nine. That should be 4th top ten hit ;) Time Is Running Out was #8 Supermassive Black Hole #4 Knights Of Cydonia #10
September 13, 200915 yr Author Brill read - probably your best ever! But little olf me has to point out a flaw: they will surely be happy with a third top ten hit at number nine. That should be 4th top ten hit ;) Time Is Running Out was #8 Supermassive Black Hole #4 Knights Of Cydonia #10 Thanks. Although I say it myself I was quite pleased with this week's effort. It's a bit longer than usual but there was a lot to fit in. Oops over the Muse error. I don't know what went wrong there. I was probably looking for single digit peak positions so missed the number 10.
September 13, 200915 yr BEATLES UK CHART RECORDS IN THE CHART OF W/E 19th SEPTEMBER:, THE FIRST GROUP TO HAVE 4 TOP 10 ALBUMS IN THE SAME CHART 1) They are the first Group - ever - to have 4 Top 10 Albums, in the same Week. The only other Act to manage 4 - or more - was Michael Jackson - earlier in 2009. He had 5 Top 10 Albums in the Chart of W/E 11th July. Then 6 in the W/E 18th July Chart. Then 5 in the W/E 25th July Chart. (Until 2009, no Act had ever managed more than 3 Top 10 Albums at once). THE FIRST GROUP SINCE 1967 TO HAVE MORE THAN TWO TOP 10 ALBUMS AT ONCE:, 2) The last time, (by a Group), was just over 42 Years ago:, THE MONKEES W/E 15th July 1967 No.2 - HEADQUARTERS No.4 - MORE OF THE MONKEES No.6 - THE MONKEES Only 10 Acts have ever managed it. Until now, The Beatles had yet to achieve it. The only other Groups to manage 3 Top 10 Albums - George Mitchell Minstrels, (3 Weeks - 1962 - 1963), The Shadows, (9 Weeks - 1963), The Beach Boys, (2 Weeks - 1966), & The Monkees, (1 Week - 1967). THE MOST TOP 60 ALBUMS BY THE SAME ACT 3) Elvis Presley had a record 14 Top 60 Albums in the Chart of W/E 10th September 1977. (3 of them in the Top 10). The Beatles have now beaten that. They have 16 Albums in the current Top 60. (Michael Jackson had 9 Top 60 Albums in the Charts of W/E 18th July, (all Top 20), W/E 25th July, (all Top 40), W/E 1st August, (all Top 50), W/E 8th August, (all Top 50), & W/E 15th August, (all Top 60 - 11 in the Top 75, that Week).
September 13, 200915 yr Author Thanks for those extra facts zeus. That Shadows record will take some beating :o
September 13, 200915 yr Remember - Suedehead2 - The Shadows only get 3 Albums in the Top 10, if we count Cliff Richard & The Shadows Albums as Shadows Albums. (As well as being Cliff Richard Albums). They never actually managed it as simply The Shadows. However, Virgin Books, Guinness, & The OCC, count Cliff & The Shadows Albums as Shadows Albums too - so I do also. (Otherwise my Stats would not match theirs). THE SHADOWS 20th July 1963 - 17th August 1963 - 5 WEEKS No.2/No.2/No.2/No.2/No.3 - GREATEST HITS No.3/No.3/No.7/No.8/No.10 - SUMMER HOLIDAY (OST) - (CLIFF RICHARD & THE SHADOWS) No.5/No.5/No.3/No.3/No.2 - CLIFFS HIT ALBUM - (CLIFF RICHARD & THE SHADOWS) 7th September 1963 No.3 - GREATEST HITS No.4 - CLIFFS HIT ALBUM - (CLIFF RICHARD & THE SHADOWS) No.8 - SUMMER HOLIDAY (OST) - (CLIFF RICHARD & THE SHADOWS) 5th October - 19th October 1963 - 3 WEEKS No.3/No.3/No.4 - GREATEST HITS No.8/No.5/No.9 - CLIFFS HIT ALBUM - (CLIFF RICHARD & THE SHADOWS) No.10/No.9/No.8 - WHEN IN SPAIN - (CLIFF RICHARD & THE SHADOWS) Edited September 13, 200915 yr by zeus555

Didn't know it was that though. ;) I love this line:" But there’s a happy ending as the public show that there’s still a lot of love today for him and he can relax, take it easy and enjoy another top ten hit " Edited September 13, 200915 yr by Crazy Chris

Why not put it in this thread as first post? Look at the UK Chart Chat banner (the brown one near the top of the page). Move your eyes up to the advertisement, and then left to 'Latest Site News' and it's the first link in that list of 3 links.
