Sugababes Keisha Buchanan and Amelle Berrabah are on course for a showdown after it was revealed they will go separately to this month's Mobo Awards.

 

The pair – who with Heidi Range make up the girl band trio – will appear at the Glasgow bash next week but won't perform as a group, organisers said.

 

'Keisha will be presenting a prize without Amelle or Heidi,' my source said. 'Amelle will still be there but the girls won't perform as a group.

 

Instead, she's going to perform her own solo stuff, Never Leave You, with Tinchy Stryder.'

 

But the band moved to quash rumours of a split, with Buchanan claiming there was 'no hate going on' between the them.

 

The news follows reports 'depressed' Berrabah had ditched Buchanan, 24, and Range, 26, to go solo full-time because she felt 'bullied'.

 

Speculation has also been rife that Eurovision star Jade Ewen is being lined up to replace Berrabah, 25.

 

The 21-year-old's record company fuelled rumours by announcing she is halting promotional activity for new solo single My Man. Buchanan said the talk was 'not true'.

I doubt they'll say anythin about the state of the band, just something that implies all is ok like the AAG release is being brought forward, or it's being released stateside......

The Sugababes' future is currently unclear after member Amelle apparently quit the group.

 

Reports on Friday claimed she would immediately be replaced in the group by solo artist Jade Ewen.

 

However founding member Keisha Buchanan this weekend denied the rumourse telling the News Of The World: “It’s not true she’s joining. She’s a friend of mine but no, I’m not a liar.

She also denied Amelle had yet left the band telling the paper: “There’s the three of us in this band and no one is joining.”

 

Sugababes' label are expected to make an announcement about the group later this week. MTV will bring you any news as we get it…

i'm with you on this. It's a joke.

it makes the babes, whoever they are at this point, look really bad because they're making their stans wait in complete turmoil and anticipation just so the group could get a few more days of publicity.

I thnk it's more the Management that are being grade 1 a-holes than the babes

The assumption has been made because the babes management has a history of being asswanks, not telling the fans anythin, rarely commenting.

 

They'd been improving slightly, until this. At one point the official site got all it's news from the official forum, the management never told us about promo, and then of course quite a few fans are still livid at the whole mess of the last era.

Reps for The Sugababes have postponed their announcement on the bands future today, saying things will be made clearer later on this week. Amelle Berrabah was expected to announce she had left the group after rumours of a furious bust up with fellow band mate Keisha Buchanan. But The Goss understands the delay is down to a royalties dispute.

 

Our source says: “There seems to be some dispute over royalties. Amelle obviously wants a significant amount of credit from the girls new album ‘Sweet 7′. But because Keisha writes a lot of the material there has been a dispute on how much Amelle should recieve. Negotiations are taking place but if a deal isn’t agreed Amelle is threatening to stick with the band until promotion for the new album is over early next year. This way she will gain a higher percentage of the royalties because she hasn’t backed out of any promo activities. Obviously the relationship between the three girls has completely broken down so that would be a nightmare situation. A deal should be thrashed out by the end of the week to make sure the girls can go their separate ways.”

 

There is no comment as yet from Jade Ewen’ camp, and it looks like the former Eurovision contestant is in limbo about her future.

 

A spokesperson for the Sugababes also refused to comment.

This has to be the JOKE of the year.

 

Replacing the ONLY original member with the last Eurovision entry/solo flop? This has to be the most manufactured and most FAKE band ever. Do people realise the 3 original members are now no longer belonging to the group? How laughable.

 

I feel sorry for the fans though, I'd be so sad if it happened to GA.
