Just re-watched the video for the first time since... probably the Born This Way era! :o I forgot that the song was extended, I really like it like that! It is very Madonna-circa-1990 inspired but I don't see that as 'reductive' or whatever, it looks very classy and stylish and Gaga puts a lot of her own personal stamp on it. Picking up on what you said about the video, Bal, I actually think the song suits the icy, dark theme, which is odd because I also think the song sounds perfect for the summer!

The music video for Alejandro was released 10 years ago today! An artist so new into her career doing things like this? Revolutionary.

Just kidding hehe, I love the song it’s amazing I remember hearing it while in Florida that summer (non-stop) and it’s perfect for the summery weather. I think it’s stood the test of time as one of her best. ❤️

The video is great! It doesn't fit the vibe of the song but as a visual feast it is brilliant imo.

Great catalogue streams, as it is not among her most playlisted hits I think. It has truly created a legacy on its own. Remember Finland being the only (?) country where it reached #1.
