:S maybe Peter Kay could get #1 next week too then... I should think she will be #1 due to all the hype and publicity she will get after the performance because theres no doubt it will be AMAZING and a little outrageous unlike the performance's by Rihanna, Alicia and Robbie.

If it doesnt go #1 next week then maybe the week after? I dont think there are any big releases that week either other than 3OH!3 Featuring. Katy Perry but i doubt that would sell more than Bad Romance. :)

Theres something annoying me about some people in this forum and i just want to know if its bugging you too...

I hate how people are estimating how much Bad Romance & Peter Kay are going to sell this week.

For example... "Ohh, BR will be selling 50k this week and it will be #2 in the official charts & Peter Kay will sell about 80k and it will be #1" Im like... HOW DO YOU KNOW GAGA WONT BE #1 AND HOW DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE SALES FIGURES WILL BE?! JUST WAIT AND SEE ON SUNDAY WHEN WE GET THE ACTUAL SALE FIGURES! Just because it was #1 last week and sold around 100k (?) doesnt mean its going to be #1 again this week and have huge sales figures again...

Nobody knows who will be #1 but i think it will be quite close between the 2 with GaGa edging it because of the performance on the X Factor.

I understand what you mean. People can't judge how effective her X-Factor performance was in terms of buyers for the single and people also can't judge how much Peter Kay is going to shift! That's why we love midweeks :)

People are allowed to put predictions and estimations. Just because you think that GaGa will be#1 doesn't mean everybody else should. Most people are speaking from past examples such as last week. If you look on iTunes Lady GaGa hasn't got that much of a lead on Rihanna and as Rihanna's sales will be decreasing this week and the fact that BR has already sold quite a bit it will lessen the chances of selling a big amount. She has got quite a big lead especially when you add the version at #35 to the one at #1.

 

Im sure at will, and it deserves to aswell because its one of the best songs of the year imo (along with Poker Face) :D

The reason is because the majority of people on this forum follow the charts. We know how it works, and there are very rarely any huge surprises. Trust us, we know what we're saying :P You may want GaGa to be #1, but there's no denying that most knowledgeable predictors would predict against that happening...

Id like them to be the 3rd and 4th singles too but she has said that Speechless WILL be one of the singles :/ I do like Speechless but not as much as Alejandro and DITD :)

A 6k lead isn't that big but hopefully it'll increase throughout the week. :D I will be so happy if this stays #1.

GaGa looks as though she has a third #1 (UK) in the bag now. Just under 32 hours of sales to go until the chart lockdown and she's 10k ahead of Peter Kay. :w00t: :wub:

With her 10k sales lead i would be shocked and so disapointed if she doesnt hold number 1 now.

It's looking promising but it's not a foregone conclusion. Peter Kay's Saturday physical sales will be HUGE, and the popularity bars on iTunes suggest that Gaga's lead is decreasing.

 

I think it's going to be really close, but Peter has a very good chance at a third week at the top. :angry:
