UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES ARE YOU TO VOTE FOR TRACKS FROM THE TWENTY-FIRST CONTEST WHICH IS CURRENTLY RUNNING. Got that? I will personally (virtually) decapitate anyone who sends me their nominations for the contest XXI, and send you off to play in traffic or to some similarly humiliating death. ANYWAY, here's the deal: READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE YOU VOTE. IF I GET ANOTHER SET OF INCORRECT NOMINATIONS I MAY HAVE TO MURDER SOMETHING. FINIS.The contest will take place in November, and as such RESERVATIONS AND CONFIRMATIONS FOR XXII WILL NOT BE OPENED UNTIL THE SEMI-FINAL OF THE BEST OF COMMENCES. If this doesn't sound to your taste if perhaps you weren't the most successful of nations over the past ten contests, remember that The Rejects XI-XX will be held concurrently with TBO, so there's something for everyone! Rejects nominations will be opened after XXI's conclusion.There will be thirty slots in the final of The Best of XI-XX, ten of which will be occupied by our ten winners! In any case, we're getting way ahead of ourselves here as we haven't even announced how the nominations for the semi-final are going to work yet!Nominations will work as follows, and they will work slightly differently from last year, so pay attention.As with last year, you are obliged to submit nominations for every contest you participated in if you are taking part in TBO (feel free to not participate, but any of your entries that make it to the final will be deducted 15 points for the sake of fairness), and you are heartily encouraged to submit nominations for contests you didn't participate in as well, although this is not compulsory.You must have participated in at least one contest between XI and XX in order to participate in TBO.You may not submit nominations for either winning tracks, which autoqualify, or for your own tracks. You may not submit nominations for tracks which did not make the final of their contest, as there is a separate contest for non-qualifiers.Nominations must take the following form - it is compulsory to submit nominations for your favourite five tracks from each contest you nominate in, but, appreciating that the quality has increased massively over the past year, you can optionally nominate your favourite ten tracks from each contest. Nominations must take the following form and be ordered from 1 (favourite) to 10 (least favourite). Your top five nominations will receive 2 voting points, while your bottom 5 nominations (if you do send them) will receive a voting point each, and the rankings are required that we may use them in the possible event of needing tie-breakers. Following are sample nominations: BJSC XI 01 - Deandria - Ladytron - Destroy Everything You Touch [FAVOURITE] 02 - JRK-off - Paris Hilton - Nothing In This World 03 - FSR Rontvia - Pixie - Boys & Girls 04 - Ashton - Gabriella Cilmi - Don't Want To Go To Bed Now 05 - Mdiče - Isabel Guzman - Mysterious 06 - People's Republic of Jester - Those Dancing Days - Run Run 07 - Quotosibb - Robyn - Dream On 08 - Kellyana Kingdom - Megan McCauley - Tap That 09 - Xanaga - Alesha - Lipstick 10 - Land of Jack - Anna Abreu - Vinegar In the above nominations, nominations 01-05 would receive two voting points but 10/9/8/7/6 points towards a tie-break total, while nominations 06-10 would receive one voting point but 5/4/3/2/1 points towards a tie-break total.Nominations from each contest will work as follows: the five songs with the highest voting points in their respective contests will go through into two semi-finals of 25 songs each. There will be six wild-cards selected from the remaining non-qualifiers, which will be selected on the basis of the highest tie-break points totals, but only one song per contest can get through on a wild-card - for anyone who is paying attention, this system is mildly similar to the current way play-off participants are being decided for the European qualification zone in the World Cup, with the contests with the four lowest highest voting points totals not getting wild cards (I appreciate it does sound very confusing, but it'll become obvious in time if you can't figure out what I mean :P I know what I'm doing and that's all that matters with regards to fair qualification, so don't worry about mistakes!)There will be no limits as to how many entries into the semi-finals/finals a country may have, as let's face it, some nations have had a frankly spectacular run over the past year while a select and unnamed few are yet to even send anything worthy of the infamous '11th vote' curse :heehee:Therefore, the semi-finals, which will begin two weeks after the conclusion of XXI, will feature 28 songs each, and from each of these 28 songs we will have 10 qualifiers into a grand finale of the 30 best BJSC tracks of the last 12 months!A list of all of the participants in the finals of XI-XX can be found HERE, while a list of YouTube links to all of the recaps from XI-XX will be posted soon.Nominations are to be sent to me (LaTyrouxn) and you have until 12am Monday 2nd of November to nominate! Nomination results will be announced that evening, although that date may be subject to change, and results could be the following evening depending on time constraints. You have a good month to nominate, so use it wisely! The semi-final results will be announced on the evening of Sunday/Monday 8/9th of November, with final results on Sunday/Monday 15/16th of November, and will be co-hosted by your gorgeous mods LaTyrouxn and Silas/KeishaBuchanan/whatever he decides to call himself by then ;o The Rejects contest will run concurrently with a time-frame to be announced within the next week.Remember - you have a month to nominate, so take time over these.
