I think after tonight Alex's pop bars will shoot up and she could clear 200k at the weeks end. Robbie will be #2 with a sizeable lead over Chipmunk.

Cheryl will sell about 90-100k first week and I'm not sure if that'll be enough to hold Alex off.

That's the point I've been trying to make and not every X Factor performance is going to guarantee a #1 out of it. Bearing in mind the results show is on a Sunday now, not Saturdays.

any signs of Stephen Gately ?

None.

105. Papillon - Editors

So that's gonna go top 100 soon then.

Seven (eight if you count Robbie twice) brand new releases all top 100 in one week :o Possibility that all will go top 40 as well, though I'm not too sure about Gracious K. Editors have their album out tomorrow which should give Papillon a substantial boost, and Alex, Robbie, Michael, Mr Hudson and Lostprophets are guaranteed top 40 methinks.

Isn't Michael's 'This Is It' going to be made album only?

Hmm, this is a bit random, but has anyone else noticed how many #1s this year begin with the letter 'B'?

Boom Boom Pow, Bonkers, Bulletproof, Beat Again, Boys And Girls, Break Your Heart, Bad Boys...

Oh dear Brayden. Fail.

Someone had to do it. Someone always has to do it, every time someone dies. It's part of nature!

I'm not so sure Cheryl will make #1 to be honest on the back of Alexandra, if Alexandra's sales are high next week, it be difficult to topple Alexandra, just on an X Factor performance, not everyone will get a #1 track from performing on the X Factor show.

You can't really predict Cheryl to be the next #1 until the sales are in.

Alexandra could easily be on 45k plus on Tuesdays mids, since Sun/Mon sales are usually high on the first mid update.

Also there is Alphabeat :kink:

I really think they will go at least top 20, but top 10 is not impossible, and since it is a quiet week, maybe even top 5...

How is it a quiet week?

Cheryl Cole, Foo Fighters, Young Soul Rebels, Cobra Starship. Comparatively quieter than this week yes, but 5 major new releases isn't really quiet.

I don't think Foo's will be THAT big. I reckon maybe a Biffy 'That Golden Rule' style run? (Yes I'm aware they're very different in sound but I am still getting a Biffy style chart run for them)

Shame really as I like the Foo's new one :(

Cheryl & YSR - Top 5.

Cobra Starship & Alphabeat - Top 10

Foo's 11 or 12 I reckon.

I thought Foo Fighters were this week?

I want Lostprophets & Alphabeat to be top 10 but I'm sensing that Paloma Faith will be at #26 next week caught in between a LP and AB sandwich. :smoke:

I think Cheryl #1, YSR #4, Alphabeat #6-#10, Cobra Starship #6-#10, Foo Fighters #11-#15. I think Foos will hang around longer than 'That Golden Rule' did for Biffy. I hope The Captain can hold onto the chart a bit longer than TGR also...
