October 4, 200917 yr The Yeah You's miss the top 75  Anyway, I cba to do a proper comment atm, maybe later. Edited October 4, 200917 yr by Brayden
October 4, 200917 yr the Newton Faulkner album seems to have slipped out of nowhere the hugely hyped Mika album enters at #4 yet the barely mentioned Newton Faulkner album goes in at #3...obviously people preferred Hand Built By Robots to Life In Cartoon Motion :o
October 4, 200917 yr I didn't even know MIKA had a new album out, I only heard We Are Golden 2 days ago.
October 4, 200917 yr 60 R 2 Jennifer Hudson And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going* <<<< She should release that properly here with full on promo for once, she'd do well! I'd like to see paramore's response to a number one album!
October 5, 200917 yr POOR Zero 7. And poor Natalie Imbruglia. Did "Want" even go top 100? :( Actually, it did! #88. Filthy Dukes also sneaked in at #95 :w00t: I thought Filthies were a cert for top 20, but obviously not... Full top 100 singles, again with my comments. 1 1 3 taio cruz break your heart [rokstarr] THREE weeks at #1! Who really expected that, eh? Only the fifth single to spend 3 or more weeks at #1 this year, after the three-weekers Lady GaGa’s Just Dance [feat. Colby O’Donis], Lady GaGa’s Poker Face and Tinchy Stryder’s Number 1 [feat. N-Dubz], and also Lily Allen’s four-weeker The Fear. 2 3 3 jay-z empire state of mind [ft. alicia keys] [the blueprint 3] This somewhat unexpectedly jumped over David Guetta at the last minute after hitting #1 on iTunes. This was its last chance to get Jay-Z a second #1 for the year, as Chipmunk is coming next week, but I’m personally happy to see this at #2. 3 2 8 david guetta sexy bitch [ft. akon] [one love] No new ones in the top 3, so this extends its run in the top 3 to 7 weeks. The Black Eyed Peas’ Boom Boom Pow also had 7 weeks in the top 3, and surprisingly both songs have still been amazing on their seventh weeks top 3. 4 4 4 shakira she wolf [she wolf] Auuuuuuuuuuuu! In a top 4 with the same four songs as last week, this holds its ground behind David Guetta, Jay-Z and Taio Cruz. The current BuzzJack multichart #1. 5 6 17 the black eyed peas i gotta feeling [the e.n.d.] Ugh, why did this have to climb back into the top 5 now seriously? Hopefully it will fall next week with Chipmunk and The Saturdays coming. Some stats: on its 13th week top ten, it equals Lady GaGa’s Poker Face for weeks in the top 10, however its ten weeks top 5 is one short of the 11 managed by Poker Face [3-3-4-1-1-1-2-3-4-5-5] 6 5 5 jay-z run this town [ft. rihanna and kanye west] [the blueprint 3] The former #1 from Jay, Rih and ‘Ye continues to hold up quite well, dropping just the one place and giving Jay-Z a second week with two tracks in the top 10. Beyoncé, Lady GaGa (twice), Michael Jackson and The Black Eyed Peas also achieved the feat of two simultaneous top ten hits. A former winner of the UK chart survivor. 7 12 9 the temper trap sweet disposition [conditions] A very slow burner, used in such things as Big Brother, the Sky Sports ad and Radio 1’s belated playlisting of it has slowly and surely hit the top ten on its ninth week in the top 100. Personally I’m thrilled to see this beautiful track go top ten. Another former UK chart survivor winner. 8 7 5 pixie lott boys and girls [turn it up] If this can stick it out one more week in the top ten, its outlasted the top ten run of its predecessor. For a track that started off 1-6 (well, 73-1-6), it’s rather surprising to see it now holding up. Or is it just low sales? Yeah, I think it’s just low sales. 9 21 8 pitbull hotel room service [rebelution] A big climb for the second single from Pitbull’s flop album. This track is currently #1 on BuzzJack’s hate chart, which is a little harsh. Come on BuzzJack, this track can’t be THAT bad? I mean, ignore the heinous sub-Birthday Sex lyrics and it really is an alright song! 10 11 2 dizzee rascal dirtee cash [tongue n’ cheek] This track only climbs one place this week. Although it does give him his fifth (!) UK top ten hit, #10 is a lot lower than most people’s expectations. It has much potential to peak higher as it gets closer to physical release though. 11 10 4 mini viva left my heart in tokyo [album title tba] 12 58 5 deadmau5 ghosts ‘n’ stuff [ft. rob swire] [for lack of a better name] The week’s highest climber in the top 75, going up a massive forty-six places upon the release of the actual vocal version featuring Rob from Pendulum. iTunes completely screwed up its release and it apparently wasn’t available properly until mid-Tuesday, which may have cost this a top ten position. It still deservedly outpeaks I Remember (Deadmau5’ #14 collaboration with Kaskade) by two places. 13 9 6 dizzee rascal holiday [ft. chrome] [tongue n’ cheek] 14 8 3 madonna celebration [celebration] Physicals and combined iTunes positions must be helping this tons. 15 31 3 paloma faith new york [do you want the truth or something beautiful?] On the back of a Live Lounge performance and of course the release of the ridiculously long-titled parent album, this shoots back up sixteen places to a new peak of #15. It ends up outpeaking predecessor Stone Cold Sober, and deservedly so. 16 16 56 kings of leon sex on fire [only by the night] Jamie Afro, you are a saint. Thank you. 17 ** 1 the veronicas 4ever [hook me up] The second single off Hook Me Up from Ozzie twins The Veronicas lands at a rather disappointing #17, nine places lower than predecessor Untouched. I was threatened with being slapped on the Sunday Chart Show Thread for suggesting The Veronicas copied P!nk’s U + Ur Hand directly. But they are the same. This is actually up from #197, not strictly a new entry. 18 39 2 jordin sparks s.o.s. (let the music play) [battlefield] Considering its position on iTunes all week, #18 seems strangely low. Still, a none-too-shabby 21 place climb for Ms. Sparks’ surprisingly good song. The winner of the most recent UK Chart Survivor (#10). 19 20 2 example watch the sun come up [dunno album] A one-place climb to #19 for Example. I suppose #19 is a better peak than #20. 20 15 5 sugababes get sexy [sweet 7] Maybe Keisha Buchanan’s last week top 20 ever. 21 13 4 mika we are golden [the boy who knew too much] 22 19 14 lady gaga lovegame [the fame] This is not an epic flop. Sorry Kath. ;D 23 27 3 paramore ignorance [brand new eyes] The parent album released this week has shot straight in at big old #1, and this reclimbs four places with a mini album boost. These two things are both good. 24 14 10 little boots remedy [hands] The ten-place fall may be the fault of iTunes deleting this tune temporarily. What a catastrophe! May reclimb next week, or may not. Former winner of UK Chart Survivor. 25 22 13 beyoncé sweet dreams [i am… sasha fierce] Former winner of UK Chart Survivor. Former not boring, not overplayed song. 26 18 4 muse uprising [the resistance] 27 55 3 la roux i’m not your toy [la roux] Another big climb, this time from duo La Roux. Their fourth single I’m Not Your Toy, while it does climb 28 places to #27 this week, gets the title of epic flop of the week. 28 23 12 sean kingston fire burning [tomorrow] 29 17 2 basshunter every morning [bass generation] Flop single from a flop (#16) album. 30 26 9 the ian carey project get shaky [no album] Former winner of UK Chart Survivor. 31 24 9 tinchy stryder never leave you [ft. amelle berrabah] [catch 22] First half of a Tinchywich. 32 re 2 tinchy stryder you’re not alone [catch 22] Second half of the aforementioned Tinchywich. Entering the top 40 for the first time off the back of the MOBOs where the poor Stryderman went home with empty pockets, this Olive sampling song becomes the fourth top 40 hit from Catch 22. A re-entry to the top 100, but it was #114 last week. 33 43 3 naturi naughton fame [fame ost] Entering the top 40 for the first time also is this crap cover of Fame by Naturi Naughton. Remind me to never watch the remade Fame film if this excuse for a song is its theme. 34 29 11 mr hudson supernova [ft. kanye west] [straight no chaser] 35 30 13 taylor swift you belong with me [fearless] 36 25 54 kings of leon use somebody [only by the night] Not showing signs of a prolonged return, like Sex On Fire up at #16. 37 28 7 esmée denters outta here [outta here] 38 33 12 jls beat again [jls] Performed at the MOBO awards, could this climb back up a couple next week? Maybe… 39 re 3 daughtry what about now [daughtry] After reaching #79 and charting for the first time ever due to Britain’s Got Talent, then later charting once more at a more respectable #43 due to X-Factor, this song (and band) finally breaks into the UK top 40 off the back of… uh… ANOTHER use on X-Factor. And guess what, it was used AGAIN this week, so it could climb next week then once more fade into obscurity. 40 32 3 jay-z young forever [ft. mr hudson] [the blueprint 3] 41 re 31 paolo nutini last request [these streets] Another song to rechart due to excessive use on the boot camp stage at the X-Factor. This song was sung by, what, four people that show? Geez, more originality please. I quite like this song though. 42 34 26 lady gaga paparazzi [the fame] GaGa is on her onesies in terms of top 40 entries. 43 36 15 la roux bulletproof [la roux] As are La Roux, with I’m Not Your Toy saving their top 40 streak just in time. 44 ** 1 tiësto and sneaky sound system i will be here [kaleidoscope] It’s really quite a shame this amazing track misses out on the top 40 this week. It’s interesting to note that this at puny number forty-four is actually the highest TRUE new entry (to the top 200) this week. Pretty slow week if you ask me! Still, there were a load of phoney new ones in the top 40 from Deadmau5, The Veronicas, La Roux, Tinchy Stryder and Daughtry. 45 50 20 daniel merriweather red [love & war] Rebounding due to the X-Factor, and like Daughtry, may rebound again next week. 46 38 15 pitbull i know you want me (calle ocho) [rebelution] 47 61 6 mumford & sons little lion man [sigh no more]Top 50 for possibly the most deserved surprise hit of recent times. It’s faring VERY well for reasons unknown on iTunes, so maybe expect to be hearing this on the chart show very soon! 48 56 2 beyoncé broken-hearted girl [i am… sasha fierce] Sigh… 49 44 17 david guetta when love takes over [ft. kelly rowland] [one love] 50 41 8 jeremih birthday sex [jeremih] 51 37 8 calvin harris ready for the weekend [ft. mary pearce] [ready for the weekend] Former winner of the UK Chart Survivor. 52 62 3 hockey song away [mind chaos] Album release brings it back up 10. 53 40 14 cascada evacuate the dancefloor [evacuate the dancefloor] 54 47 21 the black eyed peas boom boom pow [the e.n.d.] 55 48 45 jason mraz i’m yours [we sing. we dance. we steal things.] Expect the X-Factor to bring this back up… again… *yawn* 56 71 2 newton faulkner if this is it [rebuilt by humans] Like with Hockey, this has climbed due to album release. I told y’all it’d climb! A shame he can’t get top 40 hits any more though… 57 63 29 la roux in for the kill [la roux] 58 52 38 lady gaga poker face [the fame] Another new low for Poker Face. 59 42 20 dizzee rascal and armand van helden bonkers [tongue n’ cheek] 60 re 8 jennifer hudson and i am telling you i’m not going [dreamgirls ost] X-Factor brings this back up for a second time this year. They just don’t leave some tracks alone do they! Up from #172 alst week. 61 45 8 keri hilson energy [in a perfect world…] 62 46 7 just jack the day i died [all night cinema] 63 re 16 u2 with or without you [the joshua tree] Yay, more X-Factor songs in the top 75 please! Britain’s Got Talent boosted this a little earlier on in the year. 64 53 17 pixie lott mama do (uh oh, uh oh) [turn it up] 65 66 24 tinchy stryder number 1 [feat. n-dubz] [catch 22] 66 re 4 ian brown stellify [my way] Album release week again. This was released to download way too early, forfeiting a peak any better than #31 (probably). This almost re-entered last week, at #103. 67 51 6 nneka heartbeat (chase & status we just bought a guitar mix) [no album] 68 69 9 florence + the machine you’ve got the love [lungs] This is ahead of Drumming Song already, what a fail single choice was Drumming Song eh? 69 49 5 wale chillin [ft. lady gaga] [attention: deficit] 70 74 29 journey don’t stop believin’ [escape] What? 71 80 21 the veronicas untouched [hook me up] 72 ** 1 backstreet boys straight through my heart [this is us] A pretty floppy comeback for the boys who were once the ‘in’ thing. Suggestion to them: be more like Rascal, Stryderman and Chip Diddy Chip. That would help you with charting higher than a paultry #72. 73 59 11 lily allen 22 [it’s not me, it’s you] 74 70 21 keri hilson knock you down [ft. kanye west and ne-yo] [in a perfect world…] 75 60 15 florence + the machine rabbit heart (raise it up) [lungs] Former winner of the UK Chart Survivor. 76 re 8 luther vandross dance with my father [dance with my father] More X-Factor double returns. Why can’t they have one song they use once, then not use it again? Up from #137 last week. 77 64 4 florence + the machine drumming song [lungs] 78 68 17 noisettes never forget you [wild young hearts] 79 96 13 chipmunk diamond rings [ft. emeli sandé] [i am chipmunk] Chipmunk (he’s being mentioned quite a lot this week!) has rebounded due to what I assume is a mixture of hype (new single set to be #1 next week) and the MOBO awards. 80 ** 1 medina you and i [dunno album] A debut at #80 for an artist in the form of Danish Medina. I personally very much dislike this, but it went A-List on Radio 1 and is due a climb next week, so blahah. 81 98 15 stevie wonder superstition [talking book] X-Factor… 82 35 2 jade ewen my man [album release cancelled] Oof. 83 re 6 paloma faith stone cold sober [do you want the truth or something beautiful?] Combination of album release and use on Never Mind The Buzzcocks (allegedly). 84 84 21 michael jackson man in the mirror [bad] 85 re 20 faith hill there you’ll be [there you’ll be] Another X-Factor related return for the original X-Factor boosted song. 86 81 34 beyoncé halo [i am… sasha fierce] 87 75 40 lady gaga just dance [ft. colby o’donis] [the fame] 88 ** 1 natalie imbruglia want [come to life] People will be happy. I’m happy, but people will be even more happy. It at least makes the top 90 after all that. 89 72 18 kasabian fire [west ryder pauper lunatic asylum] 90 77 17 jordin sparks battlefield [battlefield] 91 93 44 beyoncé single ladies (put a ring on it) [i am… sasha fierce] 92 re 15 christina aguilera hurt [back to basics] More X-Factor effect. The X-Factor is strong this week. 93 57 21 seal kiss from a rose [seal] 94 82 28 taylor swift love story [fearless] 95 ** 1 filthy dukes tupac robot club rock [ft. wiley] [dunno album] I’m very very glad to see this did indeed go top 100 in the end. I can’t believe it flopped so hard! It’s senseless! Two weeks in a row with a little surprise at #95 (Rammstein last week). 96 86 21 empire of the sun we are the people [walking on a dream] 97 85 19 agnes release me [dance love pop] 98 re 25 a.r. rahman and the pussycat dolls jai ho! (you are my destiny) [ft. nicole scherzinger] [slumdog millionaire ost] Not sure why it’s back. Up from #109. 99 re 45 the killers human [day & age] Again, not sure why it has returned. Up from #102. 100 re 5 kasabian underdog [west ryder pauper lunatic asylum] I do know why this is back – it’s the for-real third single. Up from #118. Why again did they choose to not release this second? Edited October 5, 200917 yr by Brayden
October 6, 200917 yr I see "Looking Through You" didn't even make the top 100! :( I may say, buying albums and singles not making the top 100/200 has been my forté this year and there has been some great ones. The album chart is the fairest chart as it's very competitive. As for the singles chart, well X-Factor seems to dictate and we get corporate cash cows like Pixie Lott doing well.
October 6, 200917 yr OMG i can't believe that Natalie Imbruglia flopped o badly with her best single ever.... :o it's a real shame....
