October 10, 200915 yr TBH i think were all over-reacting to her comments about Danyl. I dont think she meant it in a mean way at all, she was probably trying to say that if he really is gay then he didnt have to change the gender lyrics. No way should she be sacked.

Oh I totally agree but yeah if the feelings expressed on DS tonight are reflected nationally this could backfire on her, I don't think she was being homophobic I think she was trying to be a smartarse/try be funny and it backfired spectacularly, I don't think she is a homophobe her sister is one of the worlds biggest gay icons

I'm not sure she was even trying to be funny with her comment. I may have to watch it again, but I thought she was quite genuine, she just kinda tiptoed around it a bit and looked stupid. If it hadn't been revealed basically the day after his audition was shown, I don't think she'd have said it. She assumed we'd all read it, like the judges did when talking about Kandy Rain being strippers and John & Edward being given a hard time. Agreed about Rikki, but he actually didn't change his gender roles in his song "you go back to her and I go back to black" I'm just guessing that's something they didn't pick up on.
