Goodrem to perform with Andrea Bocelli

Delta Goodrem has been asked to perform with Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli.

 

The Australian singer, who impressed producer David Foster at his birthday party, will travel to the US to perform with Bocelli at his Christmas concerts.

 

Goodrem told The Daily Telegraph: "I'd been doing a performance at a radio station and was asked to come along to this party next door to say hi to some people. I didn't know it was David Foster or that it was his birthday."

 

She continued: "There was a piano and mic there and he asked me if I wanted to get up and sing... he called me later saying that he would look out for something for us to work on together."

 

It is believed that Goodrem will perform four concerts with Bocelli to 80,000 American fans.

 

David Foster is responsible for launching the careers of Celine Dion, Michael Bublé and Josh Groban.

hope it can open some doors for her! she's far too good to be resigned to having occasional hits in Australia

There have been indications via tweets, that she is coming back to the UK/Europe with her next album. I think she'll need to put a lot of effort in after such a long time since her last release.

I agree, I can't imagine anyone will remember her, it's not like she was huge here in the first place :o

I'd love to see her have success here again as well. It's just that she needs to rebuild the fan base over here.

Her "Delta" album and "In This Life" UK single has been added to UK itunes :) :D

Not Me, Not I was co-written with Gary Barlow, no wonder it's so decent :heart: remember the days in between him being a superstar in 1993-1996 and 2006-present, when he was reduced to writing album tracks for Atomic Kitten and Delta :heehee: everything he wrote was excellent though!

I would agree, but he also had a helping hand in the stunning Never Fades Away and Together We Are One...as long as he's not singing I'm happy :lol:

I heard Cilmi's Sanctuary before it was a single in Morrisons. As long as it's a slow track, Morrisons will play it :lol: I've even heard Mutya's Just A Little Bit

they play a lot of Mutya in Asda, all of her flops included :lol: can't say I've heard Sanctuary, and I guess they avoid playing Warm This Winter due to the Co-Op connection :lol:
