AMAZING for Chris Brown, OneRepublic & Ke$ha! :D :D :D

Brilliant for Kelly and her 3rd Top 20 hit this era!

But my biggest praise goes for (I think it's obvious) BRITNEY! :w00t: Straight in at number 1 and the first one since 1998 to debut at number 1 on the BB Hot 100, non American Idol! :D

Yey at Britney at #1. :cheer:

Jay-Z/Alicia out of Top 10... but Jay-Z/Ri/Kanye are still Top 5, it should be the other way IMO...

Mariah Carey's cover of I Want To Know What Love Is pales in comparison to the original by Foreigner

As for Britney :puke:

Owl City in the top ten :cheer: I've never seen so few urban songs in the US top ten;

1 BRITNEY SPEARS 3 Pop

1 2 SEAN*JAY DOWN Urban

2 3 MILEY CYRUS PARTY IN THE U.S.A. Pop

4 4 JASON DERULO WHATCHA SAY Urban

3 5 JAY-Z RUN THIS TOWN/D.O.A Urban

5 6 BLACK EYED PEAS INVASION OF I GOTTA FEELING Pop

6 7 LADY GAGA PAPARAZZI (REMIXES) - STILL BULLETED Pop

7 8 TAYLOR SWIFT YOU BELONG WITH ME Country-pop

11 9 OWL CITY FIREFLIES Electronic

9 10 KINGS OF LEON USE SOMEBODY Rock

Jason DeRulo and Black Eyed Peas genres could be disputed of course but still, over half of the top ten this week, isn't urban :o

It reminds me of the US chart in the mid 90s, when alt-rock and dance (yes, really) dominated... Good times
Artists like Ace Of Base and Real McCoy were HUGE... They even had a few homegrown successes like Amber.

Ace Of Base is pop, not dance!

it's unfair, Jay Sean should've stayed for at least a 2nd week at number 1...

i'm sure there's cheating involved... How could '3' who has almost zero airplay enter at number 1 ???!!!!! while 'Down' who is very high on airplay and sales is at number 2...

it's a conspiracy against British people......

She clearly sold, like, two million copies...

Are you serious? It's a mathematical formula weighting streaming, airplay and downloads (and physical sales which basically count for nothing)...Britney had massive sales and a little bit of airplay, whereas Jay Sean's sales weren't enough. I'm sure it was quite close though...

Digital + Airplay + Streaming = Britney & Jay

1. 3 - 254,640 + 24,144 + 4,018 = 282,802

2. DOWN - 122,323 + 113,190 + 20,396 = 255,909

Rubbish, that being #1 proves that any old crap can sell by name.

I agree ^_^ its by faaaaar from her best.
