February 8, 201015 yr Looking online, some of the cars look a bit :/ I miss the pretty cars of 2004-07. Loving the new paint work on the Renault. Yellow and Black ftw. It's so much better now we've lost ING. Ironic that we've sold 75% of the team and never before have we had such a brand presence on the car.

The irony for me is aestically I thought the Brawn car looked the best last year; now I think the Mercedes looks the worst. PS. All things being equal the BJ F1 Prediction Game will be returning; and yes I will be adapting the new F1 points system for it.

February 12, 201015 yr Must say I think the Renault looks hideous as do several of the new cars with their high noses to make the most of the diffuser. Looking forward to retaiing my title in the prediction comp ^_^
February 12, 201015 yr :o The new Lotus car looks amazing! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport...one/8513511.stm
February 13, 201015 yr Lotus is quite ugly, IMO. Virgin looks great, though: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/motorsport...one/8495435.stm Too bad they will probably only be seen when they are being lapped. ;)

February 14, 201015 yr The taking away of all the Aero has made the cars uglier. I'm not really a fan of these new regs tbh the cars are just getting uglier and uglier each year. The R24/5/6/7 are 4 of imo the prettiest F1 cars [i only started watching in 2003]
March 4, 201015 yr Renault F1 Team confirms partnership with Lada The Renault F1 Team today confirmed a cooperation agreement that will see branding from Lada, Russia’s leading automotive marque, feature on the chassis of the Renault F1 Team R30 race cars during the 2010 season. Lada branding will also appear on the overalls and team uniform of 25-year-old Vitaly Petrov, who will make history this year as the first ever Russian F1 driver. This landmark agreement was formally signed in Moscow last Monday, March 1. Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin also gave the agreement his public endorsement. “We are proud to announce this new agreement, which marks another important step for the Renault F1 Team and Formula 1 in Russia,” commented Renault F1 Team Chairman Gerard Lopez. “Through Mangrove Capital we have been actively investing in Russia over the last years. We know the country well, we have a high degree of appreciation for it and, as such, it is an honour for our F1 team to spearhead Russia’s entry into the sport and to carry the Lada brand at the highest level of world motorsport. We look forward to an exciting and successful season together.”No, you bunch of fuckwits, just no. You don't place another manufacturers logo on the chassis WHEN YOU'RE A MANUFACTURER BACKED TEAM! It's been place just infront of the sidepop air intake -_- Disgusting. Especially considering Lada are a rival to Dacia. Which is the Romanian budget brand 99% owned by Renault. This day just gets worse........

March 13, 201015 yr Red Bull & Ferrari do seem to be ahead of the rest of the pack, and as I suspected Michael Schumacher coming back will harm his legacy as no way in his prime would he have been slower than his team-mate Nico Rosberg.
March 13, 201015 yr Delighted to see Massa back on the front row :cheer: and ahead of Alonso [:teresa:] The next step is driving a clever race and looking after the tyres to take the first win of the season :kink: I'm also glad to see Rosberg performing well against Schumi who, in turn, isn't actually doing badly :P. --- Why do you want to cry, Tom :o?
March 13, 201015 yr ^^^ I don't know why he want cry, but I have a reason to cry too :( Good Qualy today. Rosberg is my fave :)
March 13, 201015 yr The McLarens are awful! :( Over a second off the pace is a big surprise Schumacher is obv. a little rusty but all credit to Rosberg - he too has had to settle into a new team and is doing better! Looking forward to seeing how the race pans out tomorrow however!
March 14, 201015 yr A pretty shocking race overall with a decent result. I never thought I'd be wanting the old Bahrain track back . I'm glad Massa managed 2nd in his first race back , he didn't have enough to beat Alonso today - hopefully he'll get him next time although he's never been *that* strong at Melbourne Park [in fact he's broken down in 2 races there, crashed in 1 and had a grid penalty in the other] but hopefully this is the year he'll get a good result there. Also a stonking race from Lewis and a real shame for Vettel, Lucious Liz seems to be no more reliable than Kate's Dirty Sister. Jenson Button was pretty poor tbh, Nico Rosberg had a quiet day but got a great result and Schumacher didn't do too badly - all things considered. Edited March 14, 201015 yr by nickthenoodle
March 15, 201015 yr I can deal with this, it's fine. 3years of less than brilliant results culminating in last years uber horrific 8th. Kubica getting shunted at the start, to come back and just miss out on points i'm quite happy with. It's a solid start to the season. No major technical worries [aside from that suspension issue] so i'm quietly confident things will improve as the year goes on. And i'm happy our biggest sponsor is now HP and not Tata. [it still puzzles me that Genii Capital get Tata to sponsor RenaultF1, when a 30second glance at Renault's wikipedia/official site they could have seen that Tata = Dacia rival  Urgh. If RF1 was gonna tit about with budget brands they should have put forward f***ing Dacia to help it as it continues to grow]

I don't understand all the fits about the race being awful. For sure a second pitstop would be preferable or tyres which don't last as long but the lack of overtaking had been around for years now and atleast we had some moves during the race as guys made their way past the new teams.
