Great to see Felipe on top of the standings :cheer:, I doubt it'll last long though :kink:.

Here's how I think the season'll pan out

01. Vettel

02. Alonso

03. Massa

04. Hamilton

05. Button

And in the constructors:

01. Ferrari [Red Bull's reliability might let them down here and Webber does have some crazy off races]

02. Red Bull

03. McLaren

04. Mercedes

05. Renault [i think Force India have a better car atm, but Kubica is definitely a better driver and I have a lot of faith in Petrov too :P]

Mine would be:

1. Vettel (it looks like he can only beat himself this season; or the car breaks down which might actually happen if they don't fix the reliability)

2. Alonso (IMO the best driver currently in F1 by far; too bad that I dislike the team; car is not fast enough to keep up with Vettel's Red Bull)

3. Rosberg (he probably won't win more than 1 or 2 races but I can see him consistently finishing in the top 5 and sneaking his way to the upper parts of the championship table)

4. Massa (I think he is one of the worse drivers in F1, tbh. if all goes his way and he is leading races, he's fine but as soon as he is put in unusual situations or under pressure he fails more often than not)

5. Webber (he has some very bad weekends but can have a flawless weekend just 7 days later; just see the recent 2 races )

and:

1. Red Bull (this will be close; depends entirely on the reliability of the Red Bull; if they finish often they will run away with this)

2. Ferrari (second fastest car but they do have a record of some really bad tactical decisions lately; they haven't been the same ever since Schumacher left, tbh)

3. McLaren (I can see Button getting considerably more points than Hamilton because he saves tyre and stays out of trouble mostly; Hamilton often risks too much which is great to watch but ends in tears for him most of the time)

4. Mercedes (judging from the first races, Schumacher is definately past his prime. he will get some points here and there but Rosberg will be the driver to get the big points for the team)

5. Force India (this will be close with Renault; I wouldn't say that Kubica is definately a better driver than Sutil. they are about equal but both belong to the group of better drivers in current F1. Liuzzi doesn't seem too bad, either. Petrov seems to be a real racer which is great to watch but maybe a bit inconsistent)

Actually, I think you might be right about Rosberg, with his years at Williams he was always very consistent, after Massa he's actually my favourite driver - so I'd love a Massa V Rosberg tussle for the title :P.

I think we're on for Vettel V Alonso though and possibly a McLaren thrown in there, but I'm not too sure.

Petrov showed he's quite the decent racer, i was surprised. He wasn't afraid to take the fight to Hamilton despite f***face overrated Hamilton having a WC under his belt [-_- :puke:] and a faster car

Did anyone see the front wheels come off Buemi's car, talk about a scary accident. 2 wheels on my waggon and I'm still rolling along :o
If that happened at another corner with a short run-off are this could have ended very different. :/

^^^ Yeah 4th pole for Vettel :o

Schumacher was really poor again. I'm sure that their 3rd driver Nick Heidfeld it would do a better job than Schumacher.

Schumacher is ridiculous, tbh.

And he doesn't even admit that Rosberg is simply better than him at this point. He keeps searching for excuses like bad sets of tyres or new parts that he wasn't used to...

Another shocking race for Schumi. He really is awful this season. I've no doubt Heidfeld would've been vying with Rosberg to be Mr Consistant.

Another good race today, unlucky for the Red Bulls after dominating qualifying again. Personally I'll be surprised if Hamilton is penalised for the pit-lane incident with Vettel, they were released at pretty much exactly the same time, it was hardly unfair. Button's backing up after the safety car was worse, it was asking for trouble.

Button should have been done for that SC incident, little sack of $h!t.

Amazing race for Renault tho, the Safety car f***ed us a bit, but Petrov actually finished a race for the first time :cheer: and he did so in the points :cheer: taking both Schumi and Webber in the dying stages  Kubica, again, did a superb job for us. We're just 14pts behind Merc, and now that Petrov's made it to the finish of a Grand Prix we could be looking at 4th challenging for 3rd if we keep the momentum up and keep bringing new aero to the car and RBRenault have their bad luck streak continue.

I'm quickly becoming a Petrov fan, tbh.

Not too happy with the result but another very entertaining race tonight. :D

This was needed, though since Barcelona and Monaco are coming up. :S

I have to agree.

I'm very surprised nothing was made by the Racing Stewards of Button's backing up behind the Safety Car. I can't help but think had it been his McLaren team mate it would be a different story entirely.

A great race, and as a McLaren fan I'm not unhappy with the outcome.

Me too, he's evidently quite talented. He's pulled some good overtakes and twice now when being passed he's really given the cockycunt a run for his money [Hamilton] despite having a much slower car. He could shine at Monaco if he can get that Renault into a good position.

He should FINALLY learn how to save tyres. :S

Unsurprisingly, another boring race at Barcelona. You know there is something wrong when Button is stuck behind Schumacher for 3/4 of the race although he is much faster. :/

Seeing as McLaren team principle Martin Whitmarsh has confirmed that the ream broke due to debris on the racing track entering the ream of the wheel, immediately causing the tyre puncture.

Then it is hardly driver error.

But I guess a lot of posters in this thread would rather watch a process, than watch someone actually race and attempt to over take on the track.

That is why I like Hamilton, because his driving reminds me of Ayrton Senna, who would have won a lot more than 3 World Titles had he used his brains more and frequently drove like a nutcase/boy racer. But at least he was exciting to watch compared to the more successful Alain Prost.
