October 20, 200916 yr Cheryl vs Alex - something to consider ... There are 7 versions of 'Fight For This Love' on iTunes compared to 2 versions of 'Bad Boys', so I'm not sure if sales are comparable. It's entirely possible (and most likely) that those 134k sales can be attributed to less than 50k people. Edited October 20, 200916 yr by britster
October 20, 200916 yr cheryl's sales will of course plummet but even if she never sold another copy for the week she has very decnt sales for a debut single, she will probably sell steady in about 25-30k a day for the rest of the week.
October 20, 200916 yr Cheryl's sales are incredible! I mean, it's a great song and she performed it really well but I never expected it to sell that well :yahoo:

I'd say the other versions on iTunes are equivalent to about ~2.5% of the main version when all 7 are combined... (this doesn't even take into account physicals). I reckon the other versions make up 3-5k of her sales. Edited October 20, 200916 yr by Simplyobsessed
October 20, 200916 yr Author Can we just tell people not to buy Cheryl's track its already sold so much, her ego is going to be so massive on Sunday

October 20, 200916 yr OK - here's a question : When was the last time we had two different songs both sell >100k, on consecutive weeks?
October 20, 200916 yr Cheryl is out selling Alex by a margin of 3:1, but on iTunes is outselling by 2.75:1. That means her physicals are high?

October 20, 200916 yr You gonna wish you never asked 15+15 Oh dear. I expect Taio Cruz isn't seling well either. The record labels must be tearing their hair out with the radio stations pandering to the whims of the young downloaders.

The record labels must be tearing their hair out with the radio stations pandering to the whims of the young downloaders. A lot of albums have really plummeted for example Editors were #1 last week, its down to #10 this week, Shakira & Barbra Striesandhas massively dropped as well :o It seems the the albums had a massively turnaround this week.
