:o Really good episode, didn't guess it was Stacey (even when Bradley told her to run, lol!), was still thinking that it was Ryan. I think I was the closest out of the people I watched it with though. I think one of the clues was Stacey telling Bradley that she knew he didn't do it; I didn't pick up on it at the time, butt remembered it soon after the reveal.

not in my book it isnt.

Yes, but thankfully in a great many other peoples' books it is - people with objectivity who can identify that Corrie is in an almighty slump and that Emmerdale, much as I love it and despite being consistently strong, could never dream of topping the sheer drama of an episode like last night's (or Thursday's) of Eastenders.

This was the first EE episode I have watched in years and I loved it (even if I didn't know who some of the characters were ). Very well done for a live show and Bradley and Stacey were brillaint.

I may well have to start watching it again now.

When EE pulls out all the stops, no other soap comes close. It's often utterly ridiculous, but that's what you want from a TV show sometimes.

Woodyatt excited over 'Enders boss change

BBC

EastEnders star Adam Woodyatt has revealed that he is keen to discover what new executive producer Bryan Kirkwood has in store for the soap.

In an interview with DS, the actor confirmed that he is "looking forward" to Kirkwood officially taking over the reins of the long-running show.

Kirkwood was announced as the BBC drama's new boss last November following Diederick Santer's decision to step down after three years at the helm.

Paying tribute to Santer's stint at the top, Woodyatt - who plays Walford's Ian Beale - commented: "He's done really, really well. [His predecessor] Kate Harwood got us out of a bit of a crisis and Diederick continued that success and brought the show back to its strengths."

On EastEnders' future with Kirkwood in charge, he said: "I'm looking forward to it. I've not met him yet, but have been talking to various cast members who know him. Everybody talks and everyone's curious what a new boss is going to be like. I think this is my 14th boss!"

Santer will relinquish his role as executive producer at the end of the month.

I really liked that episode, it was really tense and there was alot of action in it. Although I thought it didn't flow very well but you can't have everything. ^_^

I think eastenders really glossed over the possibility of Stacey being the killer an awful lot, I mean Archie did rape her....that's a big motive! :o

Clements 'hated 'Enders attention'

Charlie Clements has admitted that he quit EastEnders because he was tired of constantly being recognised.

Following the death of the 22-year-old's character Bradley Branning in Friday night’s live episode, Clemenrts said that he hopes his life away from the cameras can now return to normal.

He told the Daily Star: "I hate all the attention. I can't go anywhere without people coming up to me and asking me about EastEnders."

"They usually ask me about Stacey. I just want my life back. I want to be able to lead a normal life. Go to the pub or a club with my mates and not get hassled. I know it comes with the territory of being in such a big show like EastEnders so that’s why I decided to leave.”

He continued: "Hopefully, things will get back to some normality for me once I haven’t been in the show for a few months. I don't know what I'm going to do, it's scary thinking about life after EastEnders, it takes up so much. I guess now it's auditions, auditions, auditions for me. I just hope I get work."

'Enders bosses: 'Stacey will be staying'

Sunday, February 21 2010, 09:30 GMT

Eastenders bosses have declared that actress Lacey Turner will remain in the show for "the forseeable future".

Soap bosses are keen to retain Turner, who plays Stacey Branning on the soap, and keep her character on board after proving her popularity with viewers.

With detectives blaming her husband Bradley Branning for the Queen Vic killing, Stacey looks likely to remain on board for some time.

Over 16.6 million viewers saw Bradley fall to his death immediately before Stacey's confession in Friday night's live episode, commemorating the programme's 25th anniversary.

An insider told the News of the World: "Lacey is with us for the foreseeable future. But don't forget she told her father-in-law Max that she killed Archie - so there are plenty of twists and turns to come."

Turner, 21, has revealed that she was nearly unable to say the infamous final line, "It was me, I killed Archie" - due to a bad sore throat that had caused her to miss the episode's dress rehearsal earlier that day.

She told DS: "It's typical isn't it - just as the live is upon us I get ill and lose my voice but, to be honest, even though I felt terrible nothing was going to stop me doing it. Everyone has worked so hard on this episode and it is such a big part of TV history that I just knew I couldn't miss it. I just made sure I rested my voice throughout the day so I could save it for the filming."

Watching the omnibus now. Thursday's epi really was fantastic. I so cannot wait for Carol to become central to the show again (she better had)!
How long is carol back for, i thought she wa sonly back for the wedding when i first heard she was returning but going by some spoliers she is back for longer, id love a permanent return.

I remember Diedrick said there were three big clues to Archie's killer, one on Christmas day, one more recently and one that, if he said where, would make it too obvious...

I'm guessing the too obvious one would be at the funeral where Stacey spat on the grave, but out of interest does anyone know the other two?

Been trying to figure them out too James. People saying the rape admission was one but not sure.

Diederick had said there was one that wasn't on screen too but that just confuses me even more! Hope he confirms!

Palmer 'saddened by 'Enders exec's exit'

Patsy Palmer has revealed her sadness at the imminent departure of Eastenders chief Diederick Santer.

Santer has acted as executive producer on the Walford soap since 2006, but following the show's 25th anniversary celebrations has made plans to leave, to be replaced by former Hollyoaks boss Bryan Kirkwood.

Palmer, who plays Bianca Jackson in the programme, has said that she will be sorry to see Santer leave as he has been instrumental in the show's success in recent years.

She told Metro: "Diederick brought me back here and I really love the way he runs the show - he's a nice man, and it shows."

"He's got a good energy and you need that. He supports everybody, every part of the whole show to make it work. He kind of leaves it to everyone but brings it all together.

"It's going to be just horrible because I feel quite settled and comfortable so a change is always going to be a little bit weird. But all the things Bryan has done are really good. I'm sure it will be all right."

Palmer went on to say that she had met his successor Kirkwood briefly and that "he seems [like] a nice guy".

I believe one of the three Stacey clues was the fact that there was no admission of her going to see Archie on Christmas day. We knew Peggy, Bradley, Phil, Sam, Ronnie and co all went but it was only when Stacey admitted that she killed him that we knew she'd been there so in effect the 'off-screen' clue was her absence from the Vic. I might be wrong about that since it's pretty complex but there you go.

Pete, Carol is back for at least a year as far as I know. I'd quite like Sonia to come back for a longer period of time too, her scenes with Carol last week were all quite lovely. I liked her telling her sorry, but she didn't want Carol's advice!

that is great news about carol been back for so long it will reallt develop the carol and bianca storyline and im sure billie has a major storyine coming up regarding the shot gun, i can see sonia making a full time return now that all her family are back on screen and her storyline regardimng martin on this return left her well open to returning as its looks like they will split and then she will return, thats what i think may happen anyhow.
