Posted November 1, 200915 yr Just wondering could somebody give me an Official answer to this question, I've always wondered about this... Do Box Sets of Albums count as a seperate Entity or do they could to each album individually. For example..This year there was a box set off all Pink's albums I am unaware of it's sales but if it sold 125,000 copies....does this count towards the YTD sales of 'Funhouse' or not  Thanks Edited November 1, 200915 yr by CianS
November 1, 200915 yr They are separate. We've had a few box sets charting this year; P!nk Kings Of Leon The Beatles Michael Jackson a couple others I think
November 1, 200915 yr What are the rules regarding these in terms of price, no of albums in set? Curious as Shakin' Stevens has a 10 CD set coming out in a couple of weeks time (though it hasn't a hope in hell of charting!)
November 1, 200915 yr The Beatles had a stereo box set that cost like £210 for like 21 albums I think and that charted at #24. Those aren't exact figures, but it's something like that Edited November 1, 200915 yr by BrayFish
November 1, 200915 yr The official price of the Beatles stereo boxed set was £180 although it was available for less than that. There is a case for saying that sales should be added to those of the individual albums (at least as far as all-time sales are concerned) but that's not how it works at the moment.
